Kethri shook her head and sighed. She'd have to wait the effects out, now that the spell had begun. She could always cast again to reverse the affects, but it wasn't always a guarantee. She looked up as Doctor began to speak again, and nodded gently.

"Alright, thank you,", she said, and hopped over to grab a rat before looking around to find somewhere to rest.

She decided to hop up on a ledge, turning around a few times before snapping the rat's neck and chowing down happily. It went down in one go, and whole, without any mess or cleanup to worry about. She'd hack up the bones later.

Kethri sat herself down and turned her head to half-tuck it under a wing, closing her eyes and deciding that a nap wasn't too bad of an idea.

Exit Kethri unless stopped.

He beamed as the owl turned, fluffing her way into a corner with a rat in beak. He himself turned back away, hopping up onto a ledge to rest for himself.

He had a lot of work to do, yet. But it was good to be able to put some of his learning to use, certainly; it proved that his methods, as awful as they might at first seem, had a good motivation, and good justification. This was pleasing to him, and rewarding.

Doctor settled himself up higher, content to rest and to imagine what might be: a glorious future with a research assistant, or even a fellow colleague. An expert on herbs, on healing plants and poisons, and he could work with her--a future of categorized and tested medicines, of...

The vulture soon fell asleep, dreaming of a better future, the road to it paved across the backs of a thousand unlucky rats.
