Penalties
Sora - Round 2, Round 5 - Kick: Be sure to read spell and ability descriptions before use. 'Kick' is a low-intensity spell interrupt only and should not be used as a damaging ability. Use ex. Bruise or a Physical Combat (no ability selected) roll instead.

Morganite - Round 4, Round 6 - No penalty applied, but ex. in this instance: "The hybrid managed to catch Sora under the belly and flipped her like a pancake" or Round 6 "pinning her down" please note beneath the post that this was by agreement. If not, it should be written as an attempt regardless of roll success, in case the other character manages to deflect or dodge somehow in their next turn, as happened in Round 6/7. Otherwise, it is considered god-emoting.

Sidenote, for Sora/Dove: When requesting a fight judge, be sure to note if your character Ascended after the fight was complete. It is unfair to request a fight be judged as ex. Brawler when the character was Fledgling through the entire duration of the fight, as level factors into score.

@Morganite @Sora
"I'll never leave you," she swore. "The only thing that could take me from you is death, and even then I'll fight it off kicking and screaming." She recalled Fireheart, the dog from the trial -- he'd watched the darkness begin to take him and had refused to give it the satisfaction. She respected that.

Sora leaned against her sister. "I love you, too, Morgan. I'll always be by your side." She swallowed hard, thinking about the fact that she might go back on that oath. Sora's plans were already developed, after all. But... well, she'd tell Morganite later. If ever. Sora wasn't one for keeping secrets, but her sister would probably have a come-apart if she admitted that she was planning to go back into Hydra to look for their siblings's stones. Not that she was going alone, but... still.

@morganite

Morgan wiped her eyes with a paw and took a breath, inhaling before shaking her fur out. She pressed her head into Sora and groaned, exhausted and beaten up.

"You pack a punch," she said, "I'm going to feel this for days, definitely."

She stood up and stretched out her back, grunting as the vertebrae popped, before shaking again and nudging Sora, "Let's head back to the others. Maybe we can relax a bit."

Probably not, but Morgan could daydream. She wasn't sleeping anytime soon. At least not until she drops.

@Sora
Sora laughed softly as Morganite got up. "You almost had me for a minute there. I've been thinking about trying to use this combatively," she said light-heartedly, indicating the jagged hunk of gemstone under her ear as best she could. "After Venari cleaved the bulkiest part of it off, I was left with a pretty jagged edge here. Maybe I could scratch someone with it or something."

She shook herself out, too. "Anyway, find some water to help with the aching. Especially if it smells like rotten eggs. You'll stink like crazy, but I swear it makes you feel better." The wonders of sulfur and magnesium. Sora nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's. I think we both could use some rest."

/exit sora

Morgan huffed, "And I would have won! If emotions hadn't gotten in the way."

She bumped her nose against the gem and snorted, "It is. That's a good idea. It'll stop anyone from flanking you on that side, so I suggest coming up with a strategy for that if you can."

Morgan nuzzled her neck gently and turned to where she'd dug out a nest in the ground for the group, "That's a good idea- and stinking's not so bad. Especially when half of us aren't so nose-smart like we are.
I'll have a better bath after."

She followed Sora and made her way back, eager to rest and nap.

Exit Morgan.
