cw: swearing
Asimona stood over a foot taller than Nemesis, and the first thought out of the trinoceros's head was: aaww look, it's a wee baby dragon! To her credit, she had gotten her mutated frill from getting chomped on by a dragon who could pick her up in his jaws. Once you met a big bastard like Raheerah, all other dragons seemed pretty tiny.
But hey, she had spunk, didn't she? "Good," Nemesis threw her head, stretching her neck and grimacing at the pain that bloomed across the muscle there. " 'Cause I don't do easy, sweetpea." And that was the last word out of her lips before she lowered her head and broke into a full, headlong charge toward the silver dragon.
She either wanted to make contact, and as she gained speed rapidly, it seemed more and more likely... or, she wanted the dragon to take flight. Why would it be better for her opponent to have a height advantage on her? Well, surprisingly, she was best armored on top, and keeping Asimona away from her softer legs, already injured lower neck, and her belly, would be key in making sure she kept the dragon right where she wanted her.
Round: 1/5
Attempt: send the dragon flying, one way or another
Defense: all them big pokey bits
Injuries: weave-patched gash in neck, several recently obtained scratches on frill
@Asimona
She huffed at her use of the word "sweatpea" and then crouched, readying herself for the fight. She made sure to curl in her tail, so she didn't accidentally hit and poison her opponent. As soon as Nemesis charged, Asimona reared up with a roar, throwing her weight forward to meet her head-on. She made to grab onto the horns jutting out on each side of her head with her front legs, but she missed her mark and she ended up stumbling back, at the mercy of the trinoceros's charge.
@Nemesis
Round: 1
Attempt: grab her by the horns
Defense: none
Injuries: none
Nemesis made contact, her hefty weight hitting the sizable weight of her foe, and immediately a lot of the force of her charge was buffeted by that sudden crash. She dug her heels in, and pushed forward, taking her lower position and tried to force her head like a snow plow underneath the dragon.
The difficult part of dealing with something with wings was that they had a lot more maneuverability in a vertical direction, but here? On the ground? Well, those big kites just got in the way and dragged her opponent down.
She pushed all of her body's weight into the next motion, yanking her head back (with a sharp sting from her neck that she stubbornly ignored) and she reared back herself, aiming to send Asimona flipping on to her back or side, keeping her from taking advantage of those wings.
Because, hey, keeping your opponent on the ropes was the name of the game.
Round: 2/5
Attempt: scoop and toss!
Defense: all them big pokey bits
Injuries: weave-patched gash in neck, several recently obtained scratches on frill
@Asimona
Where was the challenge? Where was the fight? For a big, beautiful dragon, she sure was looking outclassed-- but then again, Nemesis was getting into the groove of things, and she held not an ounce of fear as she threw herself time and time again into beasties twice or even triple her size. That, after all, was what it meant to be Fire.
Asimona was a pretty, ethereal creature of snow, that was certain, but she couldn't handle the heat, could she? A snort of laughter broke Nemesis lips, even though the fight had only just begun. She lunged forward, pushing up on to her hind legs so that she could draw up her front feet and slam her body into Asimona.
Keep the dragon pinned down on her wing, and what was she gonna do? Nemesis was a near two tonne tank, and this little butterfly was gonna have to face the music.
Round: 3/5
Attempt: pin asimona down
Defense: ...don't say anything, but i think she's starting to get a lil too cocky
Injuries: weave-patched gash in neck, several recently obtained scratches on frill
@Asimona
Man, this sucked. She had been a lot better at this last year, and the year before - what was going on this time for her to be beaten this easily? Well, it didn't matter - she still had some fight left in her! Massive as Nemesis was, Asimona wasn't exactly feather-light herself, although just from feeling her opponent's weight on her wing, she doubted she'd be able to throw her off easily.
Growling again, she pushed herself up as far as she could with the rhino on her wing and reached forward, wrapping her arms and legs tight around Nemesis in an imitation of a closely-wound bear hug. With her wing trapped beneath her feet, she couldn't go far, but she wasn't totally on the ground now. And Nemesis might not have an easy time moving herself with a massive dragon draped over her body.
@Nemesis
Round: 3
Attempt: grab a hold of her
Defense: none
Injuries: none
Ah-ha! Nemesis snorted hot air from her nostrils as limbs flung over her, wrestling to get purchase on her bulky frame. Powerful draconic muscles restrained her and nearly made her knees buckle down, but she wasn't going to get trapped up around a more flexible foe.
The trinoceros kicked into action immediately, throwing herself into the grapple. Her tail swung away to give her momentum, and then back as she tossed her frill skyward, and then threw down, lurching away with a sudden jerk to free herself from the "hug".
She stumbled free, wrenching herself loose with her thrashing movement. She huffed and snorted again as she regained her balance on solid ground. She swept her frill toward Asimona to guard the rest of her body, points forward. However, the dragon was now free; she couldn't maintain that pin and get out of the strong grip.
"Not bad," she grunted, dark eyes glinting. "What else you got, snowflake?"
Round: 4/5
Attempt: thrash out of the hold
Defense: strong tail lashing and using frill like a shield
Injuries: weave-patched gash in neck, several recently obtained scratches on frill
