Sunny had been curious about Blooru's capabilities since meeting her (which seemed to be developing into a haphazard nickname, thankfully). She had emerged from her pigeonhole in the Fern Trench to wander towards the water atop the kooru's back -- moving around was certainly a lot easier with a new friend.

She had been considering her stones recently. Taking a long look at how exhausted imparting her magic onto the kooru had made her, Sunny reasoned that, one day, she would be able to make three little lives at a time. She had two stones, and three friends who she figured could make good fits one day (sorry Tema, but Sunny was just too worried about how her physiology would clash with a bear's). However, she knew that one day she'd be able to make more.

So... she needed another stone. Sunny hadn't decided yet who the first little-lives would be, but she'd figure it out at some point. For now though...

Sunny's eyestalks waved excitedly as the humming of her magic-sense started... and kept going. It built violently, pinging through the bond between her own stone, the ongoing spell she'd cast on the kooru, the magic imparted onto the kooru-- all at once, it was too much, and Sunny let out a scream.
As soon as it had started, it stopped. Kooru was a few yards away from where they'd been before, her own eyes darting around madly. "Oh... I'm sorry!" Sunny apologized quickly, laying down flat on top of her new friend's neck. "I did not mean for my magic-sensing to hurt you, blue-friend. Did not expect for it to echo." She waited until the kooru had calmed down, and then she carefully drew closer to the water to take a drink to soothe herself.

Sunny drew in a deep breath. She knew better, now -- or so she hoped. Now that she was prepared for the potential reverb, hopefully she could try again with better results. Sunny made a pleased sound as something pinged on her radar -- a stone, perhaps? She nudged the kooru towards it, painting a clear picture as her friend trotted over to pick it up.
The stone looked like Eridanus itself, condensed into solid form: a rich and glittering green shining with all the promise of plant life and vibrancy, but crystalline as glass. It was a Tsavorite, bearing within Pupil-level magic.
The kooru picked it up neatly in her tail. "Kooroo!" she said brightly, showing it to Sunny so that she could touch it -- and it was such a strange experience, to be sharing the sensory information of an animal who experienced the world through sight! "Very good!! Finishing for now, yes? We both have headaches," she said firmly. "But one day... this will be something great."
