Comet
Arctic Wolf
Comet followed the prints, but the intensity of the wind gradually wore them away. Where was she? The wind seemed like it was coming from all directions, and as her own tracks were erased by the wind, she was getting more and more confused. She must keep going. Hopefully her own instincts would be enough to guide her through.

Comet's internal compass read true; she trudge onward, deeper.

Her paws carried her to a break in the path. A stone jutted out, rough on the side facing her and blasted-smooth the other way. It was fairly broad and curved: the perfect place to get a moment's respite and perhaps warm up before continuing - or heading back.

It was getting harder and harder to see up ahead, and the wind was enough to sweep the feet out from underneath any Gembound. Each step was a gamble.

Comet saw the stone just as the wind started blowing harder and harder. She wasn't sure if she could continue much further, but returning now was a risk. There was a limit to how far you could explore without being injured, and she could tell this was it. Comet tried forcing herself to go to the rock.

@Game Master Navy
The rock was just out of reach. No matter how hard Comet tried, it'd be impossible for her to shove any further into the storm.

She'd discovered, it seemed, the upper limit of how far one could go without the aid of magic...

Comet thought about things for a while. This was the limit of how far her body could go, but perhaps there could be other ways to continue. Perhaps using magic? But when she thought of the spells she knew, it seemed that none of them were helpful. So this was it. She didn't feel too sad, she had gone as far as was possible for her, so that meant it was time to go back.
Going the same direction of the perilous wind was much easier, and she soon exited the snow and returned to where she buried the feather. Digging it up, she exited Polaris and returned home.
