Comet
Arctic Wolf
She had expended too much energy on this one. The small headache that was a remnant of a previous failure had now returned, and she laid down on the ground to wait until the pain passed. Now that the pool was clear, she lapped some of the water from it, which she found helped whenever she had a headache. It was clear after a bit that her headache wasn't going to go away fully anytime soon, but she waited until the pain was bearable and stood back on her paws. "I can do this!"

Comet leaped into the pool, clearing a few feet of water, and landed with a splash. Forcing her her legs through the water, she arrived at the pedestal and grabbed the horn. It was a bit big for her small jaws, and it almost slipped from her grasp when she clambered back into the water again and made her way back to the other end. The small wolf was no longer wading through the water this time, she found it was faster if she just swam. Her legs worked tirelessly as she paddled her way back.

The statue was getting lower and lower, she was running out of time. Luckily Comet was at the last pool now, at swam at full force across it, arriving at the statue. It was really low now, but she slammed the horn onto it and waited for something to happen.

@Game Master Navy
The statue churned deeper and deeper into the platform as Comet swam towards it; and, it seemed like it was speeding up with every passing minute. Only the "head" remained as the pup replaced the missing horn. At first, nothing happened bar the grinding of stone pausing. The ram's horn sealed itself in place with a green light, twisting so it matched its partner. A single second passed before the statue's green eyes flashed - or was that Emuh?!

His head rose, bringing himself to loom over the wolf once more. "YOU'RE DONE," Emuh cawed, wings sprawling out. Here, he'd thought the pup would have given up - what with the curled-up howling from a headache. It nearly brought a guffaw out of him in review. Strong, but ill-equipped for failures. Ah, but she'd grow accustomed to that with time.

There was no warning as Comet's magic began to be siphoned, twisted, changed - the world swam and morphed around her, like the smearing of oil paints on a canvas. The room seemed simultaneously massive and small, seesawing between each. All that remained normal was the sight of Emuh, high above.

The experience receded, and the room had seemingly reverted to its dim, blank state. Emuh cawed, "DO WHAT YOU WILL WITH YOUR POTENTIAL - AND GO ON!" and took to silent wing, vanishing into the dark.

It was draining and it was disorienting, but it left the pup with something... different. Knowledge that hadn't been there before lay within her mind, just waiting to be unraveled.

Comet has Transcended. She is now a Transcendent Pupil, and may work her way back up to Transcendent Master. Upon attaining this rank, her player may post in Update Me to choose a Specialization (viewable in the Magic section of the Guidebook).

She has also learned the spell:

Siphon:

Transcendent Intensity Manipulation. Drains the water from a target object, body of water, or nearby target Gembounds toward the user. This can rapidly dehydrate enemies, easily proving fatal--or can move water from plants or ponds to further manipulate with other spells.

@Comet
Comet was worried. Had it not worked? But the place was strangely silent, as the grinding of the stone had stopped. Then there was a flash of green light, and the horn was twisted into place. The eyes of the statue flashed, and the pup jumped. Emuh emerged and cawed "YOU'RE DONE." Comet was shocked for a few seconds that she had actually done it. But she didn't feel any different. Was she supposed to?

The change was sudden, and the place around her started to change. One second everything was huge, then tiny. The experience was disorienting. Everything was changing so quick her mind couldn't register as the dimensions of everything were thrown off. Comet noticed that the only thing that wasn't changing was Emuh. He remained the same the whole time. Then it stopped. And the owl stated the conclusion, and flew off.

She stayed for a bit. Her body felt weakened, drained, as if she had lost something. But there was something else in her mind. New, different, and powerful. "Thank you." Comet said into the silence of the room, and exited with a sense of power.

"Exit Comet"
