James ruffled his feathers and finished off his food, resigning to watching the two interact. He looked up and noticed the ice starting to melt, the temperature not cold enough to sustain it. Soon enough they would be back in the buffeting winds.

"Comet," he said softly, "We should go, soon. Ari is expecting us home at any time, I think we've been gone a while."

At least he was out with Comet, he could always make the excuse that they wandered a bit too far chasing a rabbit. He didn't tell Ari that they were going to Monoceros, it had kind of been a split-second decision after passing one of the tunnels. At this point, they would have been gone for a day or so. It was getting very late, and they still needed to get back.

Her eyes followed the stone in Carja's paws, back and forth, back and forth. Comet swallowed the last of her bone, and felt a slight gust of wind. The ice was beginning to melt. "Okay Renny." She was tired too. The meeting with Pride, and the hunting with Carja had taken up all her energy. She was starting to miss Aristotle and Sun too.

The hole in the ice that the dragon had made had now melted to be large enough for both the horse and the pup to fit through. "Goodbye Carja." Comet gave the huge dragon a lick and turned to James. It had been so fun exploring with him! She hoped they could do it more often. Looking back to see if he was following, Comet exited through the ice hole.

"Exit Comet unless stopped through the ice hole"

"Goodbye Comet, goodbye James!", she called out merrily, standing up.

Carja looked at James before he left and smiled gently, "Take care, you two! If you ever have need of me, I'll be here in Monoceros."

She opened her wings and took flight, flying above them for a few minutes to ensure they made their way to the tunnel safely, before taking off back towards her family. She let out a roar as she went, the thing shaking the ground, it seemed.

Exit Carja.

"Thank you!", he called out to Carja.

James waved a wing to the dragon before following Comet through the hole, having to duck to do so. The winds buffeted his wings again and he just... sighed.

He trotted after Comet and put a wing over her, watching Carja fly off before making his way back home.

Exit James.
