Comet walked out of the tunnel where she had passed Emuh's test, and stumbled along through Polaris. She was still a bit disoriented from the experience, so when she first saw Deli sketching something on a rock, she thought she was just being crazy. But when she shook her head, and they were still there, she knew that she was not imagining them.
"Hello?" the wolf pup walked up to them "What are you doing?" she asked with a curious tone.
"Ooh, that looks cool!" Comet assumed their grin meant that they were happy to see her there. Something that did not happen often; most animals she had met usually ran away. She walked closer and looked at the stone, trying to decipher the marks. Despite trying to figure it out, she did not know what they had drawn on the rock, so she didn't say anything about that.
"I'll watch you. It looks really good!" she plopped down on the ground and watched. Comet saw that they were thinking about something while the sketched, probably because drawing required lots of concentration.
"I won't bother you!" Comet's tongue lolled out as she watched them sketch. Her eyes focused only on their moving hand, and she took no notice of their other hand which they used to reach into the bag. Eventually, the image came into focus. It was a picture of them! But being able to look like someone else. With art you really could do anything! "Yeah that looks really good!" The whole time, never noticing the bottle in their hand. After all, she did not have any reason to not trust him.
The movement was so sudden that Comet had no time to react. The red paint splattered all over her face and blinded her eyes. "Ahhh!" She was thinking about how maybe they did it on accident, but when they started laughing, she knew that it was on purpose.
Comet had no idea why they would do that. She was just here, enjoying their drawing, and then they decide to splatter paint over her?! But she couldn't take any other action right now, she had to wash out her fur first. The water washed the red dye out of her face, and she wanted to smack that grin right off their face. "Why did you do that?" she said calmly. Maybe there was a reason for it.
Their laughing was really starting to bother her. And then there was the fact that they did it-- just because they could? There wasn't any reason for it, just for their own amusement. Comet had already given them two chances already to have a good reason for explaining it, but as they didn't, she would have to take more offensive measures.
There was knowledge of a new spell she had learned-- one from her transcendence trail. What would happen if she used it on them? Well, it would be interesting to find out, and they deserved it anyway. She put her energy into it, and she saw the water coming from their body pooling around her feet.
