Maybe she'd been too hasty...

Kaimana had been coming back from Comet's permafrost shop in the room that glowed and thrummed. She must've been disoriented somehow... because this room was not filled with water and fish. It was most certainly pretty, but Kaimana was a little too harried to feel a need to stop and admire any beauty. She didn't know where she was and she really badly wanted to be back at home. Kaimana couldn't keep her mind off her stone and she was carrying objects, still without a bag.

Speaking of items and nothing to carry them in, a thought came to mind: 'How many secrets could be hidden under all this growth?' That was a fair thought. Perhaps intriguing enough to stay for just a few minutes longer. Kaimana could carry one more thing, couldn't she? If it was small enough...

Beneath the cluttered foliage, dirt-stained and vine-tangled, Kaimana would find a skull.

It appeared to be cat-like, and largely similar to her own: the same size, the same shape, a sleek ivory discolored by time and wear. Surely it held a story of some kind, if only of a creature's life; but without the magic to investigate, it would be difficult to tell.

She was sitting up in one of the trees, playing with a small sample of wool she'd picked up on her way back from Polaris. It looked like it had come off of one of the wooly deer that lived in the tunnel just outside and as her delicate fingers wove through the material, she wondered if there was a way to make something out of this. Like how Attikias had made her the fur and leather clothes she wore. The villagers were inspiring her to think about how to grow and invent and try new things. It was scary, but something like this...she could probably do.

She flinched when she heard the sound of paws in the brush, immediately stashing the bit of wool into her shirt for safe keeping and peered around the branches she was hiding behind. Someone was coming? Was it a predator? Or just someone hanging around?

She tried to see who it was, curious, but also scared. She may be working on coming out of her comfort zone...but it was definitely a work in progress. Unfortunately, she managed to twist herself around a little too much and felt her balance slipping. Eyes widened and her heart jumped in her chest as she suddenly tottered on the spot and slipped right off the branch. She opened her wings, trying to stop her fall, but all it managed to do was slow it a bit so that, when she came tumbling to the ground, she didn't injure anything.

She landed on her feet and stumbled forward, throwing out her hands to break her fall and landing hard on her stomach. Oops.
