Deli
Deli's head snapped up when a sudden voice called down to them, face twisting in a grin. But then they paused at the sight of the giant butterfly, eyes widening for a second. Panic was the first thing on their mind - she reminded them of that cave when they'd accidentally set the giant bee on fire and the rest of its companions had come raining down, stabbing at them with their stingers, not stopping until the hard shell of their chrysalis covered them...
But this wasn't a bee. This was a butterfly. And butterflies were harmless. And she was being friendly (how foolish!). So they let themselves grin and waved up to her."Oh, hello! I'm making dyes, wanna see?" They smirked, reaching over into their bag to pull out one of the newest dyes they'd made - one that let off a particularly nasty stench.

She sweeped out a leg, trying to make a rainbow appear in front of her, but...nothing happened, her excitement getting in the way of her spellcast.

Their hand was already slipping into their bag when they paused. Wait, this butterfly knew light magic? Their brain came to a sudden halt. Wait wait wait. They could use this! They could use her, then! They didn't want to be throwing gross dye all over her, she could help them make dyes that they couldn't make before!
Their smile widened and, instead of taking out the gross dye, they took out the most recently completed dye and showed it to here, in all its bright pink and green glory."Yeah! Been experimenting with weird things. If you want to help, I could definitely use the help! You say you can make things glow?" They were already thinking of all kinds of fun ideas to do with glowing dyes.

She handed it to Deli with delight.

Deli reached forward and happily accepted the baubled rock, holding it up and admiring it. "Perfect," they snickered, setting it down on the ground and immediately beginning to crush it carefully with the diamond, smashing it down until it was a fine powder. They reached into their bag, fumbling around until they found the biggest bottle they had and scooped up the shards into the glass.
They sat still for a moment, thinking, and then suddenly jumped to their feet, stashing everything they had out back in their bag."Okay, you keep making baubled stuff - I'm gonna look for some things!" They began their search through Polaris again, not having as much luck as last time as they peered into crevices and looked into little caves for any sign of some colored rocks.

Deli looked behind them as Fairy came fluttering up along and they internally sighed. Great, they were gonna be followed around by some loudmouth chatterbox. Ah, well, at least they were getting free stones from the fool. They reached forward and took the baubled rock, stashing it in their bag. "Thanks. I'm Deli! Nice to meet'cha!"
They turned away and continued their little search, snickering a bit at Fairy's question."Well, I'm looking for rocks and stuff! You know, to crush up, turn into dye!" And then, to their delight, the next crevice they reached into, they managed to pull out a really big gray crystal, exactly what they needed! It would probably be enough for two different dyes!
They sat down on the spot, then, pulling out their diamond again and a couple more small bottles (they were starting to run a little short) and began crushing them carefully."Okay for this one, I think we can make something like...like a rainbow mirror! You make a rainbow, I'll make the mirror!" Once the stones had become a find powder, they poured them into one of the bottles along with a bit of water. They held it out for Fairy. "Alright...rainbow?"
They turned away and continued their little search, snickering a bit at Fairy's question.

She landed when Deli sat down and leaned close, antennae waving curiously and watching as they crushed the stone into powder. When Deli showed her the bottle and offered her to perform some magic, she squealed.

Deli watched the butterfly work her magic and giggled quietly when the paint took on a glittery, multicolor sheen. "Nice. Okay, let's see if this works..." They'd never actually cast this spell before, but they knew the theory behind it. Taking the paint back from Fairy, they reached in their finger and focused on making their body reflect all light, like a mirror that, instead of showing a reflect, showed the world around them.
And, just like that, the magic flowed into the pain, turning it into exactly what they'd wanted."Ah! There we go!" They held up the new paint to show Fairy. "That looks excellent!"
