In the time since its visions within the Hole, Regalia had taken to wandering, contemplating, and destroying where it could. It was not naturally a violent creature - in fact, unless it was necessary, Regalia quite disliked violence. It shamed those that destroyed without cause and those that hurt others for anything other then self defense. But now...it was different. In one moment, it had turned its view on its head. Regalia had once strove to be mother and father and god of a world of order and love, but now it knew that it could never be. The world was created in chaos for chaos. Violence was part of this cycle of destruction and the Creator had chosen to share this knowledge with Regalia and the understanding that came with it. That, alone, was all the proof it needed to know that this was the true god. It had been foolish to think that it was the highest being around. To be frank, it hurt a little bit to know that it had been wrong its entire life, that it wasn't a divine creation
But that was not a concern, it reminded itself. It would be soon.
Still, it was not yet used to the concept of violence for the sake of violence. It wasn't yet so fully corrupted to embody the chaos completely. Still, the urges were there, sometimes becoming so overwhelming Regalia could barely move. But it found that snapping the necks of lesser gembound and watching the life drain away from their bodies would sate it, for a time. But...it wasn't enough.
Regalia needed more chaos.
Polaris was always ripe for chaos, with the Spire standing tall in the center. Regalia had not approached it before, instinctual fear of fire and lightning holding it far back. But watching it crackle and simply exist was soothing. It floated from some ways away, watching this exposition of chaos The heart of all gembound, of all magic...it was this chaos the He had shown it.
