Pip was having a great day! She'd already met one friend-- one who liked her colors and her scarf--and she was on her way to meeting another. "I'll call you friend, then!" She said, voice a squeak. Pip was silent-if jittery and excited-listening to the Collector. The Bonebound didn't seem that familiar to her, but she perked up when he described Auré and Damask. Those names rung a bell!

"Oh yeah, I know those two! Wow, are you guys friends too? That's great! You must be friends with everyone!" She eyed the fungus curiously as he talked. Gently tapped it with a limb, before pulling it to her chest.

"Oh man, I bet Auré would love this! He uses fungi magic, I watched him use it on this weird ring? Dunno what he did, but it worked! Hes gonna be so happy to see this! I'll do it!" And placing the gift into their nest was just common sense. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy heading back home to sleep, and finding a nice surprise gift in your sleeping spot!

"Ooh! Friend! I have an idea! What if after they find it, I just pop out and yell 'surprise!'" Her other forelimb sprung out, in a 'ta-da!' type motion. "They'd really enjoy that! Oh, should I tell them its from their good friend the Collector?" She gasped, leaning closer, voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Ooh! Or is it a secret secret. I can do secret secrets!"

"Ooh! Friend! I have an idea! What if after they find it, I just pop out and yell 'surprise!'"

Don't do that- he was about to say, but then she went on;

"They'd really enjoy that! Oh, should I tell them its from their good friend the Collector?"

DEFINITELY don't do that-

"Ooh! Or is it a secret secret. I can do secret secrets!"

A soft and throaty chuckle rumbled from his chest, and he nodded. "It's a very secret secret, indeed. You mustn't be seen, or that would run the surprise of it!"

My, he had a lot lined up, didn't he-? A kidnapping; the planting of a fake-Mother; the dissolution of a formerly-happy family; the theft of gold from a dragon; the poisoning of a Master at the apparent hands of his servants... This was an excellent time to be the Collector, really. "Well, if there is nothing else you need, little one..?"

And he smiled.

Pip scuttled in frantic circles on the Collector's hand. "Aaaah! Ok, wow! I've never been given such an important job before. I-I've never done something secret-secret! Okay! Okay. I've got this! You can trust in me, Collector! I'll be totally unseeable!"

She began to plot, thinking up ways to hide. She already had the height advantage, there was no way they'd see her! She had an idea of where the Bonebound were. Probably near where she saw Aure and damask last! She was brought back to the present by the collector's rumbling voice. She tapped a paw against her face in thought. "Mmmmmnope!" Pip said, chipper as ever. "I'm going! Right now!"

Pip hopped around once, twice, looking for the closest spot to jump to. A femur, sticking out of a nearby bone pile, was a perfect landing pad. She jumped from the collector's hand, landing neatly on the bone. She began to scuttle off, already excited for Aure to receive her gift.

"Ta ta," he said, and that was that.
