- THE LEVIATHAN -
Vargas eyed the meat-pile dourly, watching as it ate. He then looked to Kethri, who had not--so far as he'd heard, at least--acknowledged his prior remark. "Next time, that would be the first thing to mention," he reiterated more sternly, and awaited some form of response.
When Effluvium scurried off, he grunted, eyeing after it. "It's too stupid to be worth anything as it is. A liability," he answered, "but go make sure it leaves. Keep track of it awhile, don't let it see you. I don't want it coming back here and eating any of the stones or the like."
A pause, and he shook his head. "As a side note. While I am open to suggestions, I have been an Overseer for millennia, bird. I am well aware of the potentials of... things... like that. Temper your eagerness with calm," he added. Kethri's babbling demeanor was giving him a fucking headache; she wasn't telling him anything he didn't already know, but he could forgive that. A sense of initiative was always good.
Just... maybe not so... hyperactively.
With another grunt Vargas turned away, leaving the owl to her duties--assuming that she performed them.
