Marrow
decay is an extant form of life
Well. Marrow certainly hadn't been expecting this many gembound to agree to the thought of taking on one of the many shambling piles of rocks found around the caves. She's grateful for the help, of course—she doubts she could have taken on even one of the smaller ones by herself—but... it's a little overwhelming, being around this many others after so long wandering the bone cave alone. Not to mention being the leader of this hunting party...

...on the bright side, she's certain to get an opportunity to study one of the creatures' corpses. She's been curious about the golems for a long, long time, ever since she spotted one for the first time; how do they move? How do they live and act, being made out of stone instead of flesh and bone?

Could she take inspiration from one of them for one of her own projects?

So many questions—all, hopefully, about to be answered.

Hopefully.

She gives a moment's glance over her shoulder to the gembound following her before she proceeds forwards, towards the crumbled stone wall that she'd noticed in previous observations that the golems tended to gather around. She's careful to keep her distance for the moment, even as she draws closer, taking stock of what was once something far greater in the past. She wonders what this wall must have looked like, before it was collapsed...?

OOC:
This thread is welcome to anyone who wants to off-screen Marrow having come to them inviting them to golem hunting, or those who want to witness/aid a bunch of Gembound attempting to take down a golem or two! Feel free to toss your character in at any time—it's a party!
Wings folded at their sides, Esther followed with the group. Agreeing to take down one of the shambling piles of rocks wasn't really a part of their plans, but hey, maybe they would find something cool while they hunted it down. So many gembound were there, too, so it didn't seem like there would be any issues. Esther wasn't here to play games, anyway, and wouldn't be protecting the others if something happened. Besides, there wasn't much they even could do.

"With everyone it shouldn't be hard to finish a golem off." the maned wolf thought out loud.

Hopefully the gembounds that were showing up were at least somewhat skilled.
Tahi-shei frowned, skirting the edges of the group as they approached the golems who were, as yet, bumbling along silently. It took loud noise or magic to draw their attention, and the group had, thus far, done neither. Even if Esther did sort of... drip. (He needed to ask them about that, one day.)

The fellow deer (albeit the strange-looking deer) had approached Tahi-shei with a proposal, having heard that he'd been part of the hunting party who had helped in the Ursa raid. He'd been horrified at the prospect of picking a fight with yet another golem, but had been unable to talk her out of it, so here he was lurking at the edges -- Fungal Wake was at the ready, the almost reflexive spell on the very tip of his tongue in the even that Mother's spores returned. "I still think that this is a bad idea," he warned, but in the same breath he could not fault curiosity. "Avoid casting magic on them if you can manage it; that would lure the whole lot of them."

He shifted awkwardly on his hooves, and waited. At least it wouldn't be difficult to make their escape, if things went wrong.

Twisted, lanky and awkward like any other adolescent (likely more so, given she's barely interacted with anyone up to that point), stalked along near the tail end of the group. She stalked along the shadows, crooked tail kicking away pebbles as the strange deer led the way. The siamese had never seen anyone else here, but at least the landscape was familiar. Magic-charged air, glowing crystals, massive moving piles of living stone, the usual. Just follow along, throw some punches and she'd walk away with the satisfaction of a good fight. And hopefully some valuables.

Her long ears flicked as the others spoke. A large deer, a slim, winged carnivore who cried black. A deer cradled in a crystal skull. A bit of an odd group, but at least that Cat wasn't here. This would be fun.

Kalama strutted alongside the group. There was a conceited air to the chicken. Her head was held high. With the ego bloating knowledge that she was a champion. And also better than everyone here. She snorted. The wolf had no idea who she was. "With everyone?" She said to Esther. "With me, it shouldn't be a problem. I dunno about most of you, but I've fought worse." She shifted, glaring at Tahi-shei with an eye.

"Don't use that coward speech. We've got nothing to fear. Its just a pile of rocks. The last one went down easy enough." She said, omitting the followup events. The knowledge that most here had, of the golem releasing a cloud of spores. She was quiet. Awkwardly so. Kalama made a half cough half grunt noise. "Lets get this over with." She said, and strutted up by Marrow's side, and then past. She tilted her head. Stopping once she took notice of the stone wall. "Whats that?"
