Aran blinked through near-blind eyes, was the kid actually going to try and do these? He figured someone would, even if it wasn't himself. At least someone could do good with the information he had, and, well, also had hands to do it.

Talys tipped his head to the side like a dog who'd heard a funny noise, glancing up at Aran.
"Really? Why not?" He stuck his nose back in the scroll.
"That's what instructions are for, isn't it? What's the point of having them if you're not gonna use 'em?"
He found himself picking at a corner, and quickly stopped doing it, making sure Aran hadn't noticed. Whoops. On the bright side, nothing was actually damaged too badly. His mind was already racing -- he wondered what this stuff would taste like! He knew that some plants were edible, but usually the flowers didn't have a very strong taste.
