Morgan skid to a halt in front of the chrysalis, brand new and so... small.

"Goodness, Pumpkin," she said, laughing softly, "It's so tiny... what a wee thing- I'll bet it'll be as cute as you when it hatches."

She breathed in and picked a spot a nice distance away, making sure that nothing would happen as they grew, but keeping them nice and close so they still hatched together. Just not too close. Okay...

"Ready?", she asked, nervous all of a sudden.

@Pumpkin
he smiled, looking at the chrysalis, moving over to it to briefly dust it off and make sure it was safe. he made sure they were a good distance away from it before nodding.

"ready."

@Morganite

Morgan nodded and nuzzled Pumpkin gently, "Okay... let's do this."

The bit of stone broke off and fell, and she quickly nested it within a circle of grass, as if to keep it comfortable. She looked up at Pumpkin and nodded, stepping back. It was time... this was happening.

@Pumpkin
pumpkin hopped forward, breathing heavily. this was happening! he took a deep breath.

once again, unsure if it would work, he looked down, smiling with a sigh of relief. his magic coursed through the small stone, and took root into the ground.

"there we are.." he whispered to nobody in particular. possibly the stone, possibly morgan.

he looked up at her, smiling brightly. "it worked."

@Morganite

Morgan sniffled, suddenly overwhelmed by emotion, "W-we did. I-I... I want to name them Annie. With their second name being Sora."

She wiped her eyes and walked forward, hugging Pumpkin as tightly as she dared, "Oh thank you, Pumpkin... thank you."

She'd be back, though. Maybe with Sora, maybe without. Perhaps naming her most precious thing about her sister would make her return.

@Pumpkin
Exit?
he sniffled, wiping his own tears away too, emotional. "a lovely name. you're welcome, morgan." he chirped happily.

he hugged her back tight as a little bird could, the effort apparent however.
he waved as he watched her leave. sitting in his little makeshift nest, watching his 2 new children, waiting for them to arive.
