He pulled back just a little, surprised, at the touch--but it was already turning away, and he stared after it in some confused consternation.
Very briefly, he debated berating it--it was completely inappropriate, really--but he felt that it knew that. Walking up and rubbing on a Master was unacceptable. This led to the immediate realization that it must be some sort of-... cat, thing: a feline instinct of some sort. He was pretty sure he'd seen it before, in fact--hadn't Palefur outright clambered onto his shoulder when he'd tried to carry her somewhere? He didn't think it had been affection, then, or-... whatever this was--and now, by the time he'd gotten this far in the thought process, Garnet was nearly gone.
This done, and Garnet-Delta departing, he stood up to do the same.
This meeting had been surprisingly fruitful.
