Darkness was a great thing. The little beastie of the night had grown so comfortable in it's little embrace. Sometimes if she could force her eyes open, she could see out of that shell she lay dormant in, developing and forming life. Currently, she was curled up in a fetal position, little fingers holding her minute stub of a tail gently, simply entranced by whatever shimmered on it. What was it? She couldn't tell! It was too dark in here. She'd find out soon enough when she felt like she could move. Right now, in this shell's warmth, she was content and happy. Just as the beastie settled back to sleep, a groaning noise could be heard. Snapping wide awake, little Dizzy looked about wildly. What was happening?! Nervously 'chuckling,' she blinked. Just as she blinked her brilliant little eyes, the crystalis glowed a bright shimmering white. Then the ground fell out from beneath her. "AYIEEEEEE!" She screeched in fear, collapsing on the ground amongst gem shards in a crumpled little heap.
More remains of her former home fell into the pool of water before her, splashing up and drenching her. Now that put the beastie over the edge! Dumb wet stuff! She would walk right up to it and bite it. With that thought, she would stomp over to the pool, jabbing a paw into the crystalline pool quickly. Recoiling sharply, she yelped and jumped back. It was so cold! Well, maybe the wet stuff was lucky. What else was in here? Lots of green things. Then a home like she just fell out of! Now if only she could get up there and get inside! Time to put those little claws to good use! Ignoring her drenched state, little fingers clumsily worked to get up on the wall. Of course being the youth she was, no matter what she did, she was uncoordinated and got barely a foot off the ground. That was a lot for such a tiny little beastie as her! Who was she? Some name ached at the back of her head, whispering Dizzy. Falling with a little thump on the floor, Dizzy writhed back onto her feet. For a moment, she looked in the second pool, not seeing her reflection in it but seeing hers in the first one she had almost fallen into.
Gazing up with bright little rubies, Dizzy gave the mightiest bark she could muster, hoping that the home would come and get her, too! ( Trust me, the bark was way worse than her bite. )
