Yet another earthquake (albeit this one smaller) had caught Tahi-shei's attention, from where he'd been lingering in the depths of Orion. Now he was standing in front of the Eyes, no longer dark and foreboding but clear and warm. He dipped a hoof into it, finding the water pleasantly warm -- nearly hot. His eyes flicked back up, sensing something... distinct in this place. Something unfamiliar, foreign, timeless. He looked around for a moment, closed his eyes, and concentrated -- then turned his head, looking around, and then looking back up front.
He concentrated hard, clawing at the wrinkle in time. The crack in Eridanus -- the rift in not just the wall, but in time. Focusing hard on it... and waiting to see whatever he could see.
Tahi-shei will notice the rift glimmers and shifts, its actual form unknown as it has no shape, no edges; it is a constant mirage, ever-changing. Landscapes paint the blurred surface, but the moment they are diluted with another, they are forgotten.
Perhaps if Tahi-shei were to approach the rift and experience it for himself, he could grasp a foreign whisper; would he remember them after? Probably not, but the possibility is there.
@Tahi-shei
Tahi-shei approached, his nose raised high as he tried to make sense of the flashes of color and light. It was like looking through glass and finding ocean where you expected to find trees -- it was disorienting and chaotic, and he was desperate to get some answers. "What are you?" he murmured, focusing on the rift -- images, flashes of information here and there -- pictures, voices, sounds -- back and forth, back and forth, and as soon as he caught a glimpse of something concrete it vanished. His ears were ringing -- or maybe the Rift was?
It was impossible to tell. He steadied himself as though about to stir up a lightning storm, and peered into the rift on steady feet. He would find something within, even if he didn't remember it.
What are you? What are you? What are you?
There was no answer from the rift—there couldn't be. It was nothing, and it was everything. The ringing in Tahi's ears shifted in tone, high, low, and a roaring like waves, the rush of wind; and a whisper, perhaps an echo from within the rift itself:
"You will find it."
