weeping shades of indigo
Movements of haphazard, almost drunken aspects took over, blackness about the abstract surroundings, as lids were shut in relaxation. Sprouting, birthing, evolved into something not so easily overwhelmed - yet still rather vulnerable. Pitch, black, the soft whir of bubbling brooks. The musky stench, hanging thick upon the air, clinging to my lungs - hot, humid, labored breathing. Soon, dulled lenses were exposed to the world, where the universe presented itself to me. Everywhere I looked, things sprouted from the base up. The base..moist and sticky. They lived in it. Little jowls parted, nostrils expanded, a small mew, mew, escaped my throat, drowning within the serenity of the area around me. Paws collected beneath me, yet the advance was wobbly. Joints buckled, and my face mushed into the sticky base- smearing dark particles all over my cheek and nose, crawling up toward my forehead and corresponding ear. I recomposed myself, shook the debris from me, and attempted the trek again. shed without reason
Paw, paw, paw, paw, slam! again, my face in the moist base. It smelled, the bottom did, something I couldn't pin point. It was thick, like the musky air. My journey was a tough one, regularly tripping up either over myself or something in the base. Soon, I stepped onto ground which was not so heavily weeded. And it traveled along, like a passage way beckoning me. I followed it, this new journey so much easier to follow. My falls were less frequent, and soon I came upon clear liquid which trickled along. I stopped just before touching it, paws now brown and black from traveling, coloring over the golden hue my legs were. I extended a paw into the substance, and it consumed my limb. Gingerly passing over it, around it, caressing me softly. Soon, I found myself in the water entirely, standing as the water reached up to my elbows, tickling the underside of my belly. Jowls parted again, as jaded eyes scanned the area, mew, mew, calling into the thick distance.
