With lips of fine Rosé that spoke of disastrous passion and lust, her ways of neutral would tip side: unbalanced. Possibly oblivious to the sudden change in nature, she adjusted well. Despite the lack of understanding.

Rhône had been left with small hopes after the cute boy U-shi disappeared with Mama Ky. She'd shrug the emptiness off, hoping to shatter her codependent tendencies. She disliked the urge to cling to others. Especially after her altar had been seemingly abandoned . Look at me now, the eyes of melon would chant. You better tape this now .

She was ungrateful. A hideous sight to any with eyes. A child who's innocent delights became innocent no more. Her mind coiled with the space left in it. She'd dissect all early experiences, earnestly attempting to find answers or markings that would lead her to the ones she knew as Lion. Unfortunately only to give herself a headache.

Rhône thus continuously walked her lonesome path. Now, she'd ask for no interference as she'd be skeptical now. She grew an eye for doubts and frankly lost much hope. Philosophy would be instantly crossed from her characteristics. Alone and unknown to the dangerous world around her, the white kitten would proceed with steps of unresolved emotion. Her bravery was ozzed from her pink albino paws.

Her freshly scented aroma would bathe her and the track she'd set out on. Boulders of stone covered her momentarily before making her way to the center of the towered cave. Rhone took the search for a pride on her own. Amusingly still lacking foresight in what exactly prides required. So aimlessly, she'd search for something. A new start. A new friend. A new course to engage upon. Something that would allow this drastic change of aura to shift back where it was truly comfortable at.

Cancer sat uncomfortably upon his throne- his new home- brushing a paw over his freshly scarred face in hopes of removing more of the caked-on blood that stuck so disgustingly to his fur. Damn that vile woman. He thought bitterly with each stroke. What I wouldn't give to see her face if she knew. Or, perhaps, see it again. His mind went back to the trial, the shocked faces of his peers as he'd relived the story. The anger in Makyna's eyes as he pointed out the truth she'd tried so desperately to omit. He now wore a partial smirk for it- even if he'd left Pisces cave and Maji Walezi to Bevy's care, he'd still won a smaller, more personal victory. He'd be missed- which was more than Makyna had ever hoped for, or so it seemed. Let her stew in that for a year. I'm not a monster. Reaffirmed in his defense, Cancer felt a prickle of pride return to him- he'd survive this lonely new life, if only due to that one small detail. He'd be fine.

Rounded ears perked at a new sound in his silent, starry cave. A movement of pale colors in the center of his domain drew his eye, and he narrowed his gaze to get a better look from atop his throne. A cub, young and frail, with white fur, walked across his crystal floors. Cancer rose to his feet, a rumble prickling at his throat, unbidden to rise, silent. Intrusive brat. It was a lion cub. He felt his temper flare and for a moment, he considered chasing it away. Ah, but what was the point of that?

This cub didn't bear any resemblance to Makyna beyond species. He'd met other leopards, and other lions. Surely this cub was more likely related to the pebbles kid than the vile woman who'd scorned him. The black leopard soothed himself and with a soft shifting of metal on leather, began descending his throne. He'd emerge from the ruins around its base moments later, adorned in his armor, his worldly possessions now kept upon his body at all times. Yellow, tired eyes narrowed in that feline greeting- but he was not friendly.

"There is danger ahead, cub. A terrible beast lurks through those tunnels." He warned, uncaring, unkind. "Turn back or become its meal. Your choice."

A twist of events and bleak warnings sent her small body to the left, skidding herself into the towers of stone. She attempted to hide from what ever had caught awarness of her inaudible and unannounced presence.

She shrunk in size as she'd squat upon all shaky limbs. She'd attempt to hear the heart beat of the follower or the breathing of another. Something that indeed spoke of another close about. But how close?

Her fur bristled as the scent of a man's musk drowned over her own, compromising it. Soon, yellow optics stared brightly at her own. He seemed unpleased and ill with distaste. She licked her small maw, attracted to that obsidian hue of his. And oh those horns.. she'd never seen one like this. Then again, she hadn't seen many Gembounds.

He spoke to her and she'd reply with a content stare of question. Ear pinned in submission and possibly even occasional fear. The feeling of lightness ached her anxious stomach. She indeed paused in her tight space and released a nervous chirp to greet the King. Her stare descended, now examining his rather bulky helment.

Curiosity pushed her to speak. " I sowwy'. I stop here. " Her whiskers shivered at the young voice that passed through her youthful throat. She'd sit upright, incredibly small in comparison to the devil. Maybe this was where her new home would be?

The cat paused for a moment, examining the pale cub. Female. No more than three, four weeks out of her shell. Maybe more, unlikely though. The leopard sniffed slightly. She didn't smell like anything familiar- if she shared any scents in passing, had anyone in charge of her, they were long gone now. A newborn with no one to teach her- and she only confirmed the idea with her baby talk. His eyes narrowed in contempt. Lesson one.

"It's Sorry. Pronounce your r's, cub." He scolded, matter-of-factly in tone. "You'll do well to learn to speak. Intelligence will save your life someday." He stated plainly, moving to walk past her towards a pool of water not some feet away. There, he'd bend to drink. As he rose again, he settled beside the pool, unwilling to return to the ruins just yet- he didn't want her following. Instead, he settled his gaze on her pale form and waited for a response- a question- such things were sure to come.

Today wasn't her day. First realizing she's been abandoned and now she's being corrected for reasonable speech of her age by a cat who's more than snobish . At the harshness of his lessons, she'd twinge her pink nose in discomfort. A chuff of dismissal would lead her to stand in front of the feline that drank.

Left ear flickered to hint distaste. Though hidden of her annoyance, displeasure could be smelt. It ozzed from her rigid body language. Her paws planted shoulder width as she licked her lips, taking note of the cat's suggestions.

She did not belong here. This man proved it. His antagonistic attitude was welcomed not. She cleared her throat and snorted at him." Ky not like you. I leave now.. " Her eyes flared at the name of the lioness. Ears attentive now, she'd twist her pale body and with no hesitation, she'd depart from the silent scene. She figured she could do without.

The leopard almost snarled when the cub snorted and mentioned Makyna's name. Oh, so that's what it was then? Another brat of the lion bitch-queen's? Fine. He watched her wak away and at the last moment, decided it time to claim this cave properly- to deter any more unwanted visitors.

He raised his voice in a warning roar, a bellow that echoed through tunnels and caverns alike, announcing that Orion was claimed, protected, defended. Any more of Makyna's little brats would find only strife here. Anyone else would trek these floors with caution.

He spent the rest of his day marking the entry ways, every single tunnel, with his scent and claw marks. He would refuse any unwanted visitors the right to pass through unbothered. If he was to be considered a monster, a murderer, so be it. Until someone suggested he was anything else, he would live up to his name;

He would be Cancer in the veins of Origin Cave. An unknown, an unwanted addition to the many that made up the cave's supposed life blood. If they wanted a monster, if she wanted a monster, she'd get one.

That night, he slept without dreaming, unsettled and restless.
