Kethri looked at Arquia, a brow raised, ”Yes, Vargas. The master who I unfortunately serve. He's useful, though. His minions get me lessers to experiment on and allow me to take his little soldiers on excursions to test out my poisons.”

He gestured with a clawed foot, talons scraping against each other, though they paused for a moment.

”... No...?”, he said, turning his head slowly, staring at her with wide, knowing eyes, ”I learned to fly on my first day. I took flight and I flew from one end of the tunnel to the other until my wings felt like lead and pain radiated down my spine. You will fly today, or you will not eat.”

He tucked a wing under Arquia's chin and cooed, ”But if you do fly, I'll bring you the sweetest fruit I can find. With dripping juices and soft flesh that you could practically drink.”

Kethri smiled, though it was full of malice, ”Do you agree~?"”
