Sora retreated after her tusks scraped fur, drawing just a little bit of blood, and then retreated to pace slowly back and forth in front of him while she breathed hard. His magic hadn't been what she'd been expecting, certainly, but... he was creative. She was really ready to get rid of this stupid black goo. She cast a suspicious glance back at him before drawing into the lagoon with a muttered apology to Tenzin to start trying to wash it off.

She snorted at his assertion that they were evenly matched. "Kid, I'm not sure if you realize that you just insulted yourself." She gazed at the water, quiet for a moment before clearing her throat. "But if you're so stubborn about it, fine. 'S not like I've got anything better to do." Besides that, the promise of potentially being free of the tyranny of the Masters...? Of Vargas in particular? Yeah. That was something she was more than willing to sign herself up for.

She shrugged and turned her back on him. "But I'm not gonna learn any magic, got it? That's not my schtick. The only magic I've ever learned has been more or less against my will." She laughed bitterly, trying to rub against rocks to dislodge the very stubborn black ink. "Anyway, give me a time and a place for training or whatever and I'll meet up with you. When you're ready, or something stupid like that."

Tahi-shei opened his mouth and then closed it again, not sure if he wanted to get into an argument about her not being that bad or not. Especially because it would have sounded arrogant, probably. Instead, he just cleared his throat and offered Sora a curt, "Thank you."

Her question about time and place gave him pause, and he did a bit of math in his head as to when he would be able to probably get everything orchestrated. "... Meet me in Orion in three weeks' time," he decided, and then turned away. He'd be there all day, he decided, and give his other compatriots the same time and place -- if they were willing to stick with it, he'd bring them along.
