A lone body within a chrysalis hosted within one of the hallowed spaces at the edge of the black spiral. Incubating and growing until it was ready to be unearthed and exposed to the world around it. It was now, and that much was obvious by the squirming of the shadow inside of the dark shape. At first, it appeared to be struggling, tail curled in an awkward direction. Eventually, though, an audible crack could be heard, and the dark crystal started to crack. Liquid seeped out of the chrysalis as another smack to it could be heard from the inside.
Whatever was on the inside must have sounded like it really wanted out.
And she did, too. Vjira completely smashed out of the chrysalis, landing headfirst into the rocky ground in front of it. Stretching a clawed foot forward, the Valkhound stood to aggressively shake off the goop covering her fur-and-skin covered body, weird eye-ear things sticking to one place as she resteadied herself. Wings lifted and then landed back to rest against her body, colorful bits shifting as they always did.
Multiple sets of yellow-orange eyes watched the area around them, the Valkhound standing still trying to figure out where to go next.
Vjira ignored the oncoming figure for a moment. Until it got closer.
Closer And snatched up what she broke out of. Stealing the thing didn't matter to the valkhound, she had no use for the shards she would leave behind, nor did she want to use them for anything anyway. If anything, Vjira might try to eat one, but they didn't look very tasty.
The quilled-thing screeched something that Vjira didn't quite understand, but she knew she didn't like it. Especially with that disgusting looking expression it held. Rumbling out some kind of sound, the angry valkhound jumped forward to land in front of the strange thing. She might have had an angry expression if she was capable of making them. The only thing the child-not-a-child felt was the sudden need to
eat.
Devour.
To do that she would have to kill it.
Raising a clawed leg, the valkhound moved to swipe at the teeny thing.
Round: 1/5
Attempt: SMACK Vedette's face
Defense: Literally nothing
Injuries: Nothin
@Vedette
Vedette ducked under the paw easily, cackling with glee, "HA! You can't even hit me, stupid Valkhound! Man I hope Vargas thinks you're ugly enough to get rid of!"
She flapped her wings and took a few steps back, hissing under her breath, eyes narrowing, "Oh he's gonna be so mad when he finds out you're an asshole just like Dracono-brain."
She was confused when the room didn't darken, and turned to tap at her gem, as if that would get it to work, only for blinding light to fill the room instead, making her shriek as her oversensitive eyes burned from it, agony filling her head. She clenched her eyes shut and covered them, curling up a bit out of instinct.
"Ow," she hissed, but at least Vjira would be flashed too.
@Vjira
Round: 1/5
Attempt: Can't hit me if you can't see me! (Blind Vjira)
Defense: Covered in venomous quills like all over, good luck not getting pricked if you do hit her, loser
Injuries: N/A
More... seemingly nasty sounds came out of the quilled-beast. Vjira didn't know what those sounds meant, but they didn't sound nice. Though that whole thing didn't sound nice at all - or look nice. Vjira didn't know what she looked like, but she had to be stronger than a tiny thing that looked like it could get crunched in one bite of her jaws that were in a perpetual state of open-ness. At least, lip-wise. She could still open and close her mouth, but the teeth always were visible.
A flash of brightness caught her vision, and Vjira also shrieked, like the sound of nails hitting a chalkboard it might have been a pain to the ears. Instead of striking again front claws moved to cover the weird fleshy bits her eyes were attached to - body going different colors looking like they were almost
moving.
Danger! That was danger! Tiny thing dangerous!
Getting up but keeping their sets of eyes closed from the brightness that prevented her from seeing anyway, Vjira attempted to turn and strike with her tail, colors still wilding as she did it.
Round: 2/5
Attempting: Slap the dangerous tiny thing with fluffy tail
Defense: Colors going wild, man. Also her eyes are closed now :]
Injuries: Eyes kinda burn
@Vedette
The spell faded and she felt wind over her head, not aware that it was Vjira's tail that just passed over her. She blinked and growled as her vision was impaired, an afterimage having been scorched into her retinas. God damn it.
"TWOBUTT!!", Vedette shrieked, now calling for someone to come and kill this stupid thing, "KILL THIS THING!!!"
Vedette suddenly got a feeling. That wasn't hers, and she knew because the animalistic anger was definitely not coming from her. Her's was annoyance, and maybe a bit of madness. But at least she knew Vjira was angry. Not like she hadn't before or anything.
"Stupid magic! I know that already!", she hissed, "CAN SOMEBODY CONTAIN THIS STUPID THING ALREADY?!"
@Vjira
Round: 2/5
Attempt: Hurt Vjira
somehow- or not
Defense: Covered in venomous quills like all over, good luck not getting pricked if you do hit her, loser
Injuries: Half-blind
The thing started screaming again when Vjira didn't feel her tail connect with anything. Her eyes opened back up, which, it was still kind of blinding, and she whipped around to face the other screaming child. It was starting to make their ears hurt. Which, were pretty much already hurting from the earlier screeching from both of them.
Pointy teeth moved to crunch down on one of those feathered things poking out of it. Little flappy bits. Their fur and skin was still color-changing, too.
Round: 3/5
Attempt: Bite one of Vedette's wings
Defense: Still color changing
Injuries: Eyes still hurt, the yelling is giving her a headache but idk if i should rlly include it lol
@Vedette
This thing was so... clumsy! Vedette only had to roll out of the way to get out of it's reaching grasp, sneering at it as she backed up a bit, quills raised and back arched like a cat, eyes squinting as she struggled to see past the after image still remaining.
"Fine," she scoffed, "I'll deal with you myself!"
She called upon her magic, curse words ringing in her ears as she drew from the darkest reaches of herself. Vjira was going to get it now!! The Valkhound would submit to her.
She thrust herself forward, the spell welling up, and fell forward with a screech, face planting, her spell misfiring and the magic receding back into her gem. Augh! Why rely on magic when it never wanted to work?!
@Vjira
Round: 3/5
Attempt: Force her to submit
Defense: Covered in venomous quills like all over, good luck not getting pricked if you do hit her, loser
Injuries: Half-blind
Vjira couldn't help but notice the other, more large, purple thing approaching. Instead of screaming, though, that one remained quiet. The one that made her angry was still speaking and that did not help her want to bite those flappy things that were on it. They looked like they would be almost crunchy, but Vjria didn't really understand what texture was, so.
The valkhound moved to try and grab on one of those again, ignoring the other one coming while their ever color-changing body shifted like it was on crack. It honestly might have been a little bit
superfluous if someone considered the fact that she was fighting a tiny gremlin.
Round: 4/5
Attempt: Bite a wing
Defense: Color goin wild
Injuries: Half-blind
