Rain had been so excited to get back to Polaris and pass along the Collector's news that she had almost forgotten to set up her facade when passing through a populated area or two. A quick nod, a friendly wave, a too-sweet greeting pushed through hurried mandibles, but then she was on her way. She was looking for the Queen -- Fox would be nearby, because Fox was always near the Queen, and Six Stripes was probably somewhere around here, too. Not to mention any new additions they'd found in the few hours Rain had been gone.

Her antennae waved in the air as she looked around, trying to catch the scent of one of her friends. Eventually, she found one, and didn't offer much explanation beyond get the others! and hurried to find a private place to discuss. Once everyone who had been nearby was... well, nearby, they took their hood down and their mandibles clicked together excitedly. "I have a wonderful task for the lot of us," began the creature, and then they revealed the tuning fork.

@arwen
@matthieu
@redwood
@jasmedai
@marshmallow

The Queen was tending to a small flower she'd planted, encouraging its growth with some healthy bacteria. It was white with long petals, a lily by the looks of it. She pulled away from the small task at the sound of her friend, chittering questioningly.

She followed Rain, head cocked, her hands clasped together as she stopped, attention peaked.

"A task?", she asked, "From whom? Can you trust them? Does it bring a reward?"

She moved forward and peered at Rain, mandibles clicking gently. This was interesting. More entertaining than growing a flower, that was for sure. She lifted a hand to touch her necklace and the carved tooth that had joined the others, forming a crown.

"I too, have something to share," she said, "But you may speak first, Rain. You called this meeting, after all."

Queen of Lies would butt in at some point.

Matthieu was resting nearby, a bundle of arms and legs pressed into a nook in the cliffs. Polaris was nice, if a bit gaudy and crowded, but full of such cool, quiet areas for the fusion to rest in. Boy's head nodded off, absentmindedly flicking a fly away while Bee stared into the landscape. A landscape of solitude, save for Arwen --and a few of the others, gathered together over time-- tending to her own matters.

A commotion started! The faerie sat up in the shade, a little silhouette watching Rain approach. The child grew a little-- how nice!-- and had a mysterious hood draped over their face. They spoke and Matthieu crept forward, curiously, wondering what the fated task was. But unlike Arwen, the faerie didn't speak, nor act; they simply stood quietly in interest. Letting the mantis explain.
