Remus walked to the garden as he had since he was little. Not to enjoy it, this time though. This time, he was most certainly not enjoying the garden.
He had been ordered around by someone he didn't know and...she...had left. Without a word.
Offended and heartbroken, Remus entered the garden as if he was entering a melodrama, and sorrowfully searched for some plants.
He didn't find much at first. A single fruit was all really. And that was about as much as he could carry. He wasn't so small anymore, but carrying things wasn't really his specialty.
Oddly enough, this predicament only made him feel even more lonely.
Remus hadn't noticed the lioness at first (too sad to be alert). But when he heard the gentle grow, shock struck his heart.
He whipped around to let his good eye see the creature. A lion cub. Growing yet still large enough to eat him. And it had said hello?
"Hel-" The fruit thudded on the ground. Remus, his head still sideways, bent his neck down to examine it. The skin hadn't broken at all, miraculously. He snapped his head back up to the lion child.
"Hello. Are you searching for Feast ingredients as well?" He tried to sound as not scared as possible. He tried. But if she was, in fact, looking for some, he might just end up being Feast ingredients.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH She has a lot of teeth for a kid.
They looked bigger than they were because he was VERY close to them. Thankfully, peacocks don't have sweat glands because Remus would have been drenched in that moment.
The Feast. She wanted to know about the Feast. Even in his fear, he might as well be polite (and get out alive).
"A...a Feast is-" He didn't exactly know either. He heard the word for the first time when he was having orders yelled at him.
"A Feast is something to do with food." The wisdom of the ever-knowledgeable Remus.
It would be rude to ask for her help in preparing for the Feast when she was trying to enjoy the gardens, but...
It's better to let her 'help' and have an eye on her than not know where she is.
It was decided. "It's so kind of you to offer your services! I could really use your help collecting." This was true! "And I guess this is one way to see the garden more intimately. I'm looking for fruits and roots and things." And technically meat as well, but he didn't want to give this cub any ideas.
"Let's start over there first." Remus gestured to a tree surrounded by toadstools with his good eye. "Those yellow fruits look pretty and smell nice. And I guess the buttons around it might be edible, too."
And there were low branches for an easy getaway. A perfect plan.

She could climb. She was going to climb the tree. And drop the fruit to Remus.
An image came to his mind. Being pelted by bright, yellow fruits thrown at high velocities, only to be downed by them. Then, pouncing from out of the tree, the young, terrifying lion cub pinning him into the ground and tearing him to bits.
He resurfaced from this nightmare with a loud cough followed by a long inhale.
"I can pick the fruit. Sharp beak. Easy to break stems." He really, really didn't want to be the one 'catching' the lemons.
He began to strut over to the tree, trying his best not to run to it but he was still noticeably hurried. At the moment, the tree was his island of serenity unless if fell into the cub's (very large!) paws.
@Adonia
Okay okay okay okay good. Good good good. This is good.
Remus had flown up into the tree. Maybe a little higher than necessary.
He looked down at the lioness. Remus noticed for the first time the color of her eyes. They were blue, like his feathers. And whether he liked it or not, this endeared her to him a little.
Then he noticed another thing that gave him a realization.
"Uhhhh...how many of these do you think you can carry?" He called down to her.
For some strange reason, Remus hadn't thought to ask before. If this little cub could only carry as much as he could, he might not be any better off than before the two had met.
