Seffy had grown, enough that the small bird was able to fly. It wasn't graceful flight by any means. He flapped overly hard, and he dipped and swung wildly in the sky. He'd been on a journey, from his birthplace of Canis, all the way to Polaris. All of that meant he wore himself out every three minutes, and had to pause every now and then the rest.
He was even more exhausted now that he'd arrived at Polaris. But he had a purpose in being here. There was a Master here. He had heard, through very protagonist gossip, of a grand and wise master, who put gembound through trials to improve them. He got directions from a pair of very confused and slightly concerned gembound.
Seffy needed to see this for himself. He was headed to this 'Master', to see if they could improve him, too. Grant Seffyroth Griffon control over his power...and possibly improve his power beyond belief. He landed at the entrance to a tunnel in Polaris. This was where he should come. He squinted, trying to see ahead his rose tinted glasses. "Em-" He panted, his voice young protag scratchy. "Emuh Sensei!" The two words enough to cause psychological trauma to all nearby. "I wanna talk!"
If that werent enough to grant him Emuh's attention, then, heh, his next action would. Seffyroth turned his beak to the sky, his glasses glowing until they reached a blinding white. He began to yell as he charged his power, a hard to miss 'HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH', his voice rising in pitch and volume. The dangerous glow reached his eyes, and he ended his charge in three powerful words: "BREATH OF GOD!" He opened his beak nearly 180 degrees.
There were two bright pink pulses, deep within the bird. A beam shot out, warping the air around it. It was fast enough a single blink could cause you to miss it, and even more blinding than the bright of his Kamina glasses. There was a far off 'thunk' sound, and the ceiling shuddered. Seffyroth Griffon tch'd, smirking. Just as expected. He turned his beak to the ground, adjusting his glasses as his crest flowed in the breeze that was now there, and a combination of rock debris rained around him.

"WHO is THAT!" came the loud hoot.
The black shape that shot out of the shadows very nearly struck the beam, jerking aside as if it sensed it only at the last instant, a startled squawk screeching as Emuh fluttered out of the way. "WHAT. WHY. WHO!" he howled, slamming to the ground before Seffyroth a moment later. Massive talons clenched, raking the rock, and glowing green eyes narrowed, rapidly scanning the smaller bird before him in little jerks.
"YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS HERE," he concluded, almost at once. A frosty aura swirled, crackling around him like freezing bits of water. "THIS MAGIC SHOWS PROMISE," the owlbeast added, almost reluctantly, "BUT YOU HAVE MUCH YET TO LEARN. GET OUT," he added, and was gone in another heartbeat, black feathers vanishing into the dark.

Seffy flinched back when Emuh rocketed out of nowhere. Hestared blankly at Emuh. Emuh sensei...he was so...cool. Which made the sudden rejection that much worse. "Geh! Gah-huh!" He cried. If Seffy weren't a bird, sweat droplets would have been flooding off his head. He stumbled briefly, then ran after the greater bird. "W-wait! Emuh-sensei! Th-that's not what im here for!" Seffyroth managed takeoff after a couple failed flaps, flying after Emuh into the dark cave. "I..I want to learn how to become stronger! I need you to tell me how!" He called after desperately.
Seffy lost his balance mid-flight, and gracelessly dropped from the sky. He laid there, coughing as if he were dying. "Damn..." Seffy said. He picked himself up off the ground, but his sight stayed glued to the ground beneath him. A single tear dripped. His feathers didn't cover his eyes, but he did the best he could to shadow them. Seffy brought his wing in front of his face.
"H..how could sensei ignore me like this." Another tear dripped, this one onto his feathers. He..he was important. The most important gembound in these caves! How could this have happened! How could Emuh-Sensei ignore him? He must've done something wrong. How...how else could Seffy train? Seffy did his best to curl his wing into a fist, crushing the tear drop. The lack of fingers made that difficult. "KUSOOOOO!" He screamed in the dark.

The bird was met with utter silence, and an empty, dark cave.
Emuh, it seemed, was truly ignoring him--or was gone altogether.
@Seffyroth Gryphon
Seffy sniffed. The cave was silent. It was just him, and the dull patter of his tears on the cave floor. His head drooped further. It seemed he was alone. Seffyroth's magicka came unbidden, by the pure strength of his emotions. His head began to darke, eyes barely visible in the shadow. Seffy grit his teeth, before speaking, barely above a whisper. "Keh. I'll show you." Seffy said. And when he raised his eyes again, they held a burning passion within. He turned to stare into the shadows.
"You wait and see, Emuh-Sensei! I'll be the best there's ever been! And Ill be back!" Seffyroth smirked. Emuh had made a great mistake today. He could've trained the next hokage. It seemed, Seffy had to rely on himself...he was used to it.
"Heh. Just like the rest of them, huh...tch. Never underestimate my true power." Seffy walked off, from the dingy, dark cave. He waddled from the cave into the light, where his heterochromatic eyes glittered in the light. They sparkled with his unbreakable fire. "Its all up to me, huh..."He curled his wings. "Business as usual. I'll do it for you, oka-san." Then, with a couple of flaps, he took off.
