Attikias lifted one leg and propped it on the table, one arm resting on the knee. His other held a bead- one of the less fortunately shaped ones- and rolled it in his fingers, looking.
He perked as Carja tried again. "Hey, you should see me try these spells. Y'know how my finger's are all silvery now?" He held up one hand limply, the one hanging from his knee. "The dye spell likes to mess up a lot, but it eventually worked. Y'just gotta try at it."
He offered that hand to Carja again, encouragingly nodding a bit more enthusiastically. "We might need some more people- I think I know some that are more.. magical? Pride comes to mind- the deer guy, Thalia's other dad." He added in the last part for clarification, though to Comet and James the names may as well mean nothing if they've never heard of the stag. "He's back in Orion, so it might take a bit of a trip, but."
He shrugged, holding up the hand that held the bead as he fiddled with it. Casually, trying not to strain himself, Attikias flowed his magic into the item and tried to imagine it as glue almost, imagine it almost like that dye spell he'd learned so long ago.
He could feel his fingers tingling, but nothing happened- the magic wasn't enough and pulled back, and he let his hand down with a faint sigh.
Of course it'd take several tries for this one, too.
@Carja
After receiving some encouragement from Attikias and James, she took a deep breath and tried again. Hopefully she wouldn't have as bad luck as Carja was having. That was the problem with magic, sometimes no matter how good you were at it, it wouldn't work.
This time, however, she gave the magic a hard push, and it flowed into the bead, completing the first step of the enchantment process. Great! Now she just had to put water breathing into it and it should work! Or maybe Carja could do it? Comet was very excited.

@Attikias
Carja shuffled and stared down at the ring, eyes narrowed. She was growing more and more frustrated and it showed, unfortunately. She shuffled her wings and inhaled, trying again.
Finally she thrust her head forward, the ring taking the magic, James' enchantment imbuing it into the metal itself. It would need to be buffed out to be shiny and pretty, but it had worked.
”Yes!!”, she cheered, picking up the ring and putting it on one of her horns, pleased with herself, ”Got it! Heck yeah!”
She looked over at Attikias with a grin, tail wiggling behind her as she tossed her head and clapped her paws in glee.
@Attikias
"Oh, yeah," Attikias spoke calmly, looking up to James. "No, uh- I don't think he'd be able to come today, though." He idly rubbed the arch of his ear as he thought, fidgeting in place. "I dunno if he can even enchant anyways."
He shook his head, scooting back an inch or so on his perch. It seemed like others had begun to get it, and he gace a hearty thumbs up and a grin to Carja at her excitement. "Nice! Don't push yourself, 'kay?" Besides, other people were coming up, too. "I think we've got another bead that needs the water-breathing spell?" He looked to Dragon, then to Comet, head tilted.
"I've got some beads, if you want to cast it on those," he offered with the one he was holding, putting it near Tahi and James. He plucked up another one, then, focusing on it. As soon as he tried to push his magic into though, it stung his palm, and he hissed as he dropped the bead in his lap. "Shi- ergh," he cut himself off, rearing back and waving his hand out in the air.
Many others were arriving, to help them enchant the beads. She had already successfully cast the spell to get the enchantment in, and she wasn't sure if she would be able to enchant another bead. Comet wasn't going to risk it. She didn't involve herself in the talk of the others, although she make note of Tahi arriving, and Dragon offering to cast the water breathing spell. Well, she would try to finish up this one bead. If it doesn't work perhaps Dragon could try.
The magic was weak, but it worked. She could feel it sink into the bead. "It worked! It worked!"
@James
Carja clapped as Comet got her spell too, leaning forward to peer at the bead, ”I wonder who else is going... I'm definitely going because I can swim pretty alright.”
She was a water and ice dragon! With a bit of fire mixed in, of course!
Briefly she looked over at Dragon, James, and Tahi, noticing the latter's discomfort. She approached and tapped him on the shoulder.
”Hello! Do you want to pair up with me?”, she asked politely, ”I'm still trying to get a hang of the spell but I think as long as we cast within a few minutes, we'll be okay!”
She reached over to Attikias and whuffed at his hair before picking up a bead and holding it out to Tahi-shei. Out of some form of mercy from the universe, the magic appeared, ready for Tahi's portion of the process.
