More than once, it'd lost its sense of direction and was forced to hunker down in the drifts until the white-outs broke. As soon as the howling gales settled into a rousing breeze, the monstrous hybrid would struggle up to its feet and hobble on. First, it was towards the twin mountains—then, straight away from them. After what felt like days, Alpha broke into the stifling humidity of the tunnel, and then Leo at large.
It hadn't been long since it last was here; Chaos-Two and the Sentinel had been with it, then, and the former had pried. Putrescent eyes narrowed at the memory, a sickening sort of feeling rising in its throat.
When had it decided to just run from everything?
Alpha still felt sick from that fish.
It padded along the fringe of the beach, hardly noticing the cool wash of the tide rolling in and out. Its attention was fixed on the horizon for a while, and then the greenery, and back again. Every movement set it on edge, but it was—... well, it was too tired to cast out the magic needed to confirm. If it had spent days in Ursa, then it was running on absolute empty.
Head hanging low, it looked every direction except for up. It meandered toward the water and, after a time, found itself facing the ocean entirely.
Hooked claws came to a halt in the sand.
