Kitty's paws flailed slightly on the ground, feeling stiff as she looked over at the Queen and Zhusha. She was being offered a hand, and Kitty looked at it for a rather long moment. She blinked at the creature. Something about this... wasn't adding up. Her head was still a little foggy, and she felt confused, but... Kitty felt like something was distinctly
off.
"Mmmmno," she managed, rolling onto her other side. Kitty laughed again.
"You-- hah-- you-- haha..." She broke down into a fit of giggles.
"You're lyyyyying!" Kitty sing-songed.
"Liar, liar, fur on fire--" and snickered as she flopped over on her back.
"Hahah, the Voidclaws's gonna geeeeeet you! My family... hah... won't be-- hahaha!"

Ah... it had been the berries after all. But Zhusha could not fault the Queen for this; she had not known, after all. He himself had never eaten berry honey before in his life, so how could he expect a complete stranger to be able to predict their reactions?
He lifted his head, giving the Queen a grateful look even as her masked face seemed to wobble. It was nauseating, really; he would definitely be sticking to his usual diet from now on.
"Thank you," he managed, rearranging his legs and wings into a sitting position past the invisible heaviness.
But... the orange fluffy thing thought she was lying. Did the orange fluffy thing know what they were talking about? Zhusha squinted at the Queen, fighting back a ripple of nausea. He couldn't be certain, but she didn't seem particularly... on fire. There was laughter--was the accusation a joke of some sort?
"Ha... ha?" he tried. Kitty's laughter was rather contagious. He decided to laugh some more.
"Ahaha, ahaha, ahahahahaha! Hee hee heeeeee. AHAHAHAHA!" It had been forced, at first, for no reason other than him wanting to fit in with the cool funny people. But the random hilarity of the red panda's laughter and the stuff she was spouting about... Voidclaws? What a funny name. That really
was funny.
All right, Zhusha decided as his giggles faded. The time for silliness was over.
The Queen mustn't blame herself. "You are... forgiven, of course. I did not know... either." He lowered his head to the ground again. Speaking was such an effort, wasn't it?
@Arwen
The pulse of magic, at least, pacified Kitty somewhat. She waved her paw non-commitally at Arwen --
"No more experi-- peri-- peri-menting," she agreed, swaying some more as she tried to get up again. Kitty's eyes were wide with fascination as she lost her balance again, but this time she was preoccupied with her paws. Kitty was staring at them as though they were totally foreign and absolutely fascinating, turning them over.
"Woaaaah...."
Hands, amirite? She dissolved into laughter again, falling back once more and staring up at the ceiling as she breathed hard. This whole experience was sort of taking a lot out of her, if she was being honest -- at least she wasn't getting any rashes or anything, though. That, at least, was a good thing.

For what it was worth, Zhusha believed Arwen. Cranes probably weren't meant to eat honey, just as... whatever she was was probably not meant to eat fish. He would have said this, but a mumbled
"fish" was all his heavy tongue felt up for. Sleep did sound like a good idea, he thought, closing his eyes experimentally.
Feels better? I think.
Ah, but he couldn't shut up yet! Something Arwen had said...
stop experimenting?! "NO," he blurted, his eyes snapping open again.
Ach, the sudden light hurts. "Experiment! It is... GOOD. How else will you... discover good things?"
@Arwen HI I'M ALIVE SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG
