Feringar had been hesitant to approach the magic box, and even more hesitant to use it. Well, could he really say much, with the company he kept? He rummaged through the wagon and unearthed a thick fur parka. It smelled musty and old. His eyes searched for her as he held the parka away from himself, turning to view her around the edges of the cart. Her white hair was glittering with a soft dusting of snow.
"Ezra? Are you cold?" he called slyly, reaching for the enchanted jewelry box at the same time.
"Tuh! Don't be daft. I'm not some worm of a witch, you know," she answered back over her shoulder, dismissing him with a waving hand without looking up from whatever she had been focused on.
"I do know," said Feringar under his breath. He opened the box and recoiled slightly from the whirling rift within, gently edging the parka toward it until it was sucked in with a loud gasp of air. Feringar slammed the small box closed and shoved it back into the wagon.
Ezra had heard the sound and came scuttling around the cart to see what had happened; she searched her pile of goods as if she might actually know what was missing. Her eyes narrowed as they moved to hold Feringar within their judgemental grasp.
His only response was the raise of his brow.

A thick fur parka falls with a thud from the rift in the wall: the fur is white with dark peppered edges, and the parka heavy, sized for a large human. It sits alone in the alcove. It probably smells better than the caves do, despite being old and musty itself.
