the emerald chrysalis hidden within the chambers of canis shifted, ever so slightly.
the child within it slowly awoke, the eyes covering its body and the book that floated in the liquid above its neck blinked in confusion, a low hiss emitting from the many mouths that seemed to have formed.
it had no coherent toughts, at the moment. the only thing it- no, HE felt, at the moment, was hunger and a horrible wave of pure annoyance. fitting, truly.
the child kicked and clawed at the chrysalis till, in a flurry of limbs and a surprised shriek, it fell to the floor. the immediate, undeniable chill of cold from the wind made the creature whimper pathetically, searching for warmth, grabbing at anything it could in its confusion, until- oh, whats this?
eyes blinked open once more with a shiver as the child looked at the pile of what seemed to be.. clothes? was that the word? the child wouldn't know, but it did take a moment to realize how to put them on. it was almost hilarious, should someone be watching, watching this terrible little boy attempt to put on the provided attire, but it eventually figured it out. he hummed comfortable, the cold still present but aided by its warmth. the other thing he seemed to be confused by was the handkerchief and the watch. lifting his shirt, he simply opened a pocket to store them in, until he figured something out later, a horrible squelch as it opened and then closed again, the flesh as if it had never been torn in the first place.
he looked around, the book now floating mere inches above his neck. now, where was he?
