The Voidmother had returned some time ago. She had announced her return, explained that she had not seen her captor, told them that she had been stuffed into a hole in Canis and had presumably died, and that she then proceeded to escape. She said that Voidstrider had given her flashes of a green-and-pink-and-white thing that was distinctly predator, but that her memories were blurry at best with panic. She did not mention the incident with the spider, but had lamented that she felt unsafe in Cetus -- to which Kitty had suggested a move to Pegasus, and the Voidmother had jumped at the offer.

So now, here they were. They'd come... a while ago, if her memory served her correctly, but it was only just beginning to feel properly like home. Oddly enough, it had been Kitty who had picked the spot. A little irritating, but the Voidmother was willing to concede that it was all but perfect.

There was a central tree with a small gap in the roots that had been easily dug out into a den for the Voidmother and her stones, and a comfortable hollow in it that just so happened to have some positively perfect branches nearby for Kitty's luxury (and that of any clients or visitors).

Now, though, it was time to make a proper home of this place. "Everyone?" she called, accented by the braying of her kooru. "I have an announcement!" She waited for some attention before continuing. "I think we should build some things. Dens, proper ones. We can put around lights and flowers and so on; we ought to have a nursery, and maybe some sort of water source. What do you think?"

Kitty's head poked out of her hollow when the kooru brayed. The Voidmother honestly wasn't very loud in her own right, which is generally why the Voidstrider helped her. The hollow itself was well-stocked with Kitty's things -- it was filled with various trinkets and baubles she'd found, a couple Baubled rocks for the sake of light, and some grass and feathers from various kills and scavenging missions.

She'd been looking for a good time to actually start doing work, and it seemed like the Voidmother was providing her with the perfect opportunity. "Should we split off into groups?" she asked, walking down the tree a ways so she could be heard more clearly. "I have lots of ideas for my own den, but I can probably handle them myself. But a nursery, well, that might take more work -- it'd need to be pretty big, right? Just in case the babies are super huge?"

As for a water source... she'd been thinking the same thing in regards to her own den, although she rather wanted a more private one. She'd... have to work on that. In the meantime, she waited patiently for the Voidmother's response.

Carja had come, of course, being a friend of the Voidcrawler's. She looked at the two, Kitty and Sunny, brows slightly furrowed. She couldn't stay long, her whelps back home were still too immature to be left alone for more than an hour.

”I will help you build the dens and nurseries,” she said slowly, ”But I have my own in Eridanus and... and whelps there.”

She offered a smile and looked down, half-afraid they'd shun her for making herself a family that she could take care of and that looked like her. Creatures she could relate too, for they flew and hunted like she did. Because really, it was hard to relate to a snail and a creature that really should have been her prey, with ideals that differed from her own.

Mainly the part about how Sunny wished to almost start breeding snail-creatures. Don't get her wrong, Carja loved Sunny, but she had kids now.
