Silence over the line as Khavur walked.
What have I--
It didn't want to think about it. Or anything. Not after-- it just didn't want to. But repressing all thought was difficult for anyone, especially someone with two brains. The large-horned head would maintain a steely grimace and a straight line of sight while the attention of the small-horned head would wander...fearfully wearily.
It didn't want to think about itself, or what had happened-- so it just thought about the other person affected. Or the other people. Maximus...
Khavur had wanted, for some part of this journey, to be alone, since it had rarely ever had such an opportunity. Now it was seeing... well this was only trial one-! But it needed-- it didn't need-- Maximus, Maximus, Maximus, Maximus. We will be butterflies. Khavur couldn't do that alone...
It stared down the pitch black-whiteness of the tunnel. It was impossible to tell how far it really was using basic sight, but Khavur remembered from the first trip that, when uninterrupted, it didn't last too long. Wouldn't it be dangerous to run in here? Dangerous for Khavur, especially, being... everything it was.
Something within ached for the violence of motion, however. Perhaps it was barn sour. Perhaps it was NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO--
Khavur readied itself. If it hit a wall? So be it. It had to get out of here.
