He'd kept this odd stone in their den - no interest in taking it with when he'd fled Leo, and now that he's remaining here with the intent of destroying whomever destroyed his nest, he's been... busy. Bringing water in his mouth to water the dryer plants, using scales to buff away charring, organizing the remaining treasures and gifts the family had.
The keystone was currently placed off to the side, something neat and a bit large compared to the rest of his and Haven's collection, but a piece of it none the less. Electrum was keeping an eye on his mate and his daughter, rumbling happily every time they come close enough for him to give them a soft nudge of affection and a soft murmur of asking them to do some small things for him, like moving some dried leaves or just some idle chatter.
Little did he know that he's about to have
way more guests than he's ever had, let alone what he's comfortable with right now.
Let the Quest continue!

Along with any other magical objects the dragons might hold in their hoard, the little sigil stone occasionally gave off a dim sense of its own magic. If it were kept in pitch black, the alien-looking glyph etched across its surface would glow with a very faint violet light.
These were both new developments, for the stone had long laid dormant: it was as if, in response to some unseen call, it were responding.

Unsure who wanted to post first!
It was certainly more lively in this den than Telesto had ever seen it before. When they'd hatched, it's been barren. Nothing but the remains of wilted plants. The most interesting thing had been their own Chrysalis, with it's shattered gold-speckled-green shards. Now they were helping their parents with the cleaning, however boring that may sound. Brushing away debris and watering what plants had managed to survive.
The collection caught their interest. Telesto had a very tiny one of their own- larger, more attractive bits of their chrysalis, along with pretty stones, shells, and even the occasional bone hidden in some nook somewhere in Fornax. It wasn't with greed that they eyed their parent's collection, but curiosity. Everything they collected had some sort of meaning behind it, so surely their parents would be the same?
So when Haven called them over they quickly obliged, ears perked forward to caught the faint ringing sound coming from the crystal. They made a curious, delighted chirp sound, peering forward to get a better look. "Ooo! It's pretty! And it sounds pretty too!" They'd tilt their head slightly, before asking, "Where'd you find it?"

(sorry if y'all were waiting for me! you can assume Tele is lurking in the bg and you don't have to wait for me unless you're like, directly interacting with them.)

To say he's glad that his daughter and mate are getting alone is an understatement.
He'd actually been quite nervous, about them getting along after their meeting, having possibly having poisoned the well, or overstepped his bounds with bringing home a child to their nest... so many things he'd worried he'd done wrong. Seeing Telesto and Haven interacting over the singing stones- which he needs to go find more of, honestly... she deserved nothing but the best after all. He'd need to figure out how that... worked, fully. Possibly another stop with the Blacksmith.
On that note, he actually glances about, seeking out the rest of their collection, and he... pauses, eyeing the now
glowing Keystone from... well. Ages ago.
"My dears..." he calls, waiting until after Haven and Telesto are done speaking before trying to get their attention again.
"Sorry to bother you darlings, but... the Keystone is glowing? Is this new? Did... something happen to it?" he calls, swinging his tail around to curl around it gently so better shade the glowing sigils in the dim light of their den, the violent glow causing a sensation like something crawling up his fins.
