Bayo kneaded little biscuits into Giggle's fur as he listened, strangely quiet for a kid who yapped so much that his mouth moved faster than his brain sometimes. He waited for her to stop entirely and nodded slowly, mulling it over.

”Could we go sometime? Like um... I dunno, what's that place where it's super shiny or whatever? We could go there!”, he said, lifting his head and flopping his tail a few times, ”I just- I want to go out! I want to make friends and there ain't a lot of people coming through Canis so I need to get out of Canis so I can go to them instead!”

He whuffed and flopped his head down again, letting out a little squeak as he yawned widely, exhausted.

”... I love you mama. I'm glad you're okay,” he said softly, leaning over to give her ear one last lick before curling back up with his back against Giggle's side, his paws left to splay out across the ground.

It seemed Giggle's words soothed him somewhat, allowing his eyes to close finally.

"I'm not sure which place you mean, kiddo, but sure. I'll go anywhere you want," she murmured, agreeably. She wasn't a huge fan of travel, but maybe it'd help her to get out more, too; and if it helped Bayo, that was reason enough.

His assurances and so on bought from her a soft snort of warm amusement. "Me too, Bayo. And I love you too." The kneading was... weird; but she didn't say anything. It was almost cat-like, and she so hated cats. But this was her son, so she ignored it, instead drifting slowly off to sleep.

She could teach him, when he woke. She could travel with him, when he wanted. And as a final thought--and a final murmur--"I'm glad you're okay, too."

That had been a relief to come back to.

His kneading stopped and his breaths slowed, his constantly racing heart calming down for once. He felt reassured and clam as he drifted off to sleep, the puppy-like behavior fading away. Maybe he was clinging to the familiar comfort of those happy months when his mother was around to teach him and his siblings everything they needed to know. The comfort of chasing his siblings around and having so much fun that he always went to sleep with a smile on his face.

Maybe Bayo was lonely and that was why he was so close to Giggle, clinging to her like she was a stuffed animal.

Soon his soft, high-pitched snores met the air, more like gentle whuffs than anything. Fast asleep and as safe as one could be in their mother's presence.

She drifted off only shortly after Bayo did, content in his presence, and in the knowledge of his safety. It was still interesting, to her, that he wished to learn the bones; not all of her children showed the interest (or the aptitude).

His wasn't the slow, considered and insightful sort of personality she'd have normally associated with such a thing, but that wasn't to say she preemptively doubted his ability. On the contrary, she was curious. Would her sweet, excitable little pup see the future with ease? Will it trouble him? And how would he deliver such readings-?

She fought back a half-asleep smile at the idea of him bouncing around his own bone pit, excitedly proclaiming this future or that. She'd have to teach him a little... showmanship, at least.

But that could come after a solid rest.
