When Zoey began to click and rattle, Pollen shied back herself, holding her hands together at her chest while her elbows dropped. 'Oh, okay,' she'd thought in her mind, blinking to Zoey as she figured that the other being didn't want to be touched. That was fine! Sometimes Pollen wanted to be left alone, too, so maybe Zoey just wanted to be left alone really badly.

She'd given her space and continued on through the garden a little, still in that space but looking out a bit more. "Ahh- plants die, anyways, and would need to get replanted. I'll find something better to put there." Pollen nodded to herself as she swept her gaze about the area, looking for something special.

Hmm... There? Making her way to the edge of this portion, Pollen knelt down to cup the barely budding flower here. "How big do you think the flower should be?" She looked back to Zoey, then to the plant, tipping it up ever so gently.

She vaguely knew this one. Its yellow petals formed almost a star- if she knew what a star was- though folded on itself much like a rose once it had grown. A lot of petals- and it was a pretty plant, she thought, with two long stamen that poked out of the star-bud once it was fully grown. Starbud? That was a cute name for it, and she stowed that one away for later.

"I can make it grow a little bit, if you want me to?" She'd turned her gaze to Zoey again as she continued holding the flower, her head cocking gently.

Zoey listened attentively to Pollen, as the gentle muta reassured her: plants die and are replanted, reborn, that any small amount of harm from being bruised would surely be fixed with time and care. It was a simple thing that lifted some small amount of guilt from her heart. "... Okay," she rumbled, perking up when Pollen made her way around the edge of one of the flower beds.

Carefully, the large creature stepped after her, blinking when Pollen asked how big the flower should be. "... The size doesn't matter," Zoey insisted quietly, craning her head to peer at the little blossom. It just has to be something special... Something Venari hasn't seen before.

The flower that Pollen had found for her was pretty, though. She thought about it for a moment, tilting her head to one side until all six eyes lined up perpendicularly to the floor. "... I..." She wanted to see Pollen's magic. "I can only preserve it," she explained stiffly. A new emotion started to seep into her voice, one that she didn't have a name for, one that would be plain as day to Pollen: Wonder. "Can you? Grow it?"

Already, Zoey adored the little yellow flower. It reminded her of the balls of light that she could create, that bobbed about like little motes of stardust. She had never seen it before, and hopefully Venari had never seen anything like it either. She could help Venari plant it in her garden, and then... Then, maybe she could see her...
