weeping shades of indigo
i gazed, waiting anxiously, yet patiently, for whatever cancer was to do with the subject. but with the look on his face, it would seem he failed what he'd intended. i watched with furrowed brows. then he asked if i could part the rat's fur, so i would try. i braced myself, convinced i had some time since the poor little rat seemed to be having major issues. it was unmoving, so i closed my eyes, attempting to pull the energy from my gem again. bbut i knew, it could not be my vibrations to part the fur. that would only blur my vision, hum a bit. i needed the other spell which i knew was hidden deep down inside me somewhere. soon, i felt just a small gust, a breeze flow by. as if to sweep me off my feet and carry me with it, however it lacked the strength it needed to carry me. quickly, i opened my eyes to see if i was successful in part the rat's fur. i saw a mere rustle of the small, soft fibers, but it was something. i smiled, looking up at cancer with wide, dulled lenses. shed without reason
"did you feel that?!"
i exclaimed desperately. surely i wasn't the only one to feel the breeze! i waited for his answer, angst growing with the coming approval or disappointment."spoken words."
