Appearance
Archon ('AR-kon') looks, at first glance, like a black-winged angel with a long tail. He is a muscled, slender humanoid form about six feet, six inches tall, weighing a little over two hundred fifty pounds (the weight of his wings being a little over fifty).
His hair--generally ponytailed to keep it out of the way--is black, as are his brows and wings. The wings themselves are the broad, black wings of a vulture. Digitigrade feet harden below the ankle, with pointed, hooflike toes. His ears are pointed, a gift (along with his general form) from elven ancestry. Pointed fangs and black claws are his body's only real concession toward his more monstrous heritage. His gemstone is a shard of Onyx at his chest, but it bears an unusual marking: streaks of pure, gleaming Oilstone cut through it. His skin is alabaster white--not the peachy caucasian of a human, but with an almost blue cast to it. A pink shine, however, shows through in areas a humanoid would flush--checks, palms and so on--betraying the faintly-glowing, acidic red blood beneath. Personality
Archon hatched among monsters. What would likely be seen as a beautiful and graceful form in some contexts, he instead grew up comparing against the Valkhounds he was raised with. By comparison he found that he was small, soft, and ugly, missing the gnashing jaws and multitudes of eyes, spines and Oil of his compatriots.
As a result, Archon has pushed himself ruthlessly to improve, while simultaneously never believing that he's "good enough." A bitterness and self-disgust has led to him hiding his shape under hoods and cloaks, and treating others with sneering, sour arrogance--though beneath the biting words is often hidden a pity for others he may see as less, weaker, or bullied. To these, he will likely come across as mocking and cruel, but his actions will speak louder than words: even as he taunts, he will aid them. History
