Appearance

Arquia is a dragon that is made for forests, such as Eridanus. She has emerald green scales that shimmer different colors depending on which way the light hits it. Blending in perfectly with the foliage and greenery of the forest, it serves as excellent camouflage.

When full grown, she has a body length of twenty feet, with an additional eight feet as her tail length. Her height though, is an astonishing thirteen feet to the top of her head, huge, even for a dragon. Her neck is three feet long. Arquia has two sets of wings, the main, front pair, measures thirty feet, and is what she uses for flight and gliding. Her second pair, however, is smaller and behind the first. It is only a third of the first, with a wingspan of only ten feet.

Her first pair of wings is what is used for taking off, and the main parts of flight. They rarely need to be flapped, as they are wide enough for her to be able to glide across the cave. Her secondary pair is used for stability, and is used for her to make turns. The end of her tail contains a fan shaped thing made out of the same skin as her wings. It can be folded and opened at will, used if she wanted to quickly stop, or make a sharp turn. The wings can be bent and opened quickly, making it convenient for flight between trees, twisting, and turning at high speeds. Arquia's wings are even shaped as giant leaves, helpful when she uses them to hide herself.

Her four legs are built for moving through the forest too. They are well muscled, and strong, made for stomping down undergrowth and fighting through the thickest parts of the forest. Arquia's tail is often used to curl around things, often used for stability when she perches on branches. Her front feet can be used as hands to pick up things, but can not be used for more accurate things like sewing for example.

Arquia's growth is not like that of a normal gembound. Instead of reaching full size in four cycles, she instead takes six cycles to reach her max size. She starts out at one foot in height, and gains two feet every cycle, with her proportions right of course.

To further increase her camouflage, yellow swirls branch across her scales, even reaching her wings. These swirls can be turned off and on at will, and she even has control of how bright they glow, dimming or brightening them as needed. Arquia often causes a rippling movement with the lights, to mimic light filtering through the treetops. Her eyes are golden too, the same color as her lights, which add to the sunlight effect. Straight horns with a slight upward curve at the end. It can easily be mistaken for sticks, and are only a foot long.

Two sharp fangs extend from her upper jaw, and even with her mouth closed, the two small white points extend just long enough to be seen.
Venom 1:
Color- A bright red
Effect- Instant paralysis that lasts for a few seconds, with after effects of slow movements and numbness after.

Her gemstone is a strange one indeed. It is a large hunk of amber, a roughly two by two circle embedded into her chest. But the strangest thing is what the amber contains, a rainbow spinner, forever suspended in flight, above an open magicka flower.

Personality

Arquia is naturally untrusting of anyone she meets, always on her guard wherever she goes. Although it can be exhausting to always act like this, she feels it’s necessary. This means it’s hard for her to truly relax, always alert no matter what she is doing. Her cautious nature stems from both her small size when she was younger, and also how she was raised. She sleeps lightly so that any unusual noise will wake her up, and is always ready to fight at a moment's notice. Arquia routinely scouts out the area she is staying in, checking for any irregularities or potential intruders. Her suspicious nature makes it incredibly hard for her to trust anyone, as it’s hard for her to believe anyone has good intentions or that they are doing something without any ulterior motives.

In her free time, she trains. She works hard to become as strong as she can, so that she will never have to live in fear of anyone again. This correlates to her independent nature, always wanting to do everything herself. Relying on others is a weakness that can be easily exposed. Arquia as a result never asks for help, feeling the need to prove to both others, and herself, that she is self-sufficient and perfectly capable of fending for herself.
