Appearance

Asimona is a large silver dragon standing at about 7 feet tall at the shoulder. Her leathery hide is scaleless but thick and well insulated. Her tail is thin, long, and whipping. Her legs are strong with three large claws on each foot, plus thumbs on her front feet, that are powerful enough to grip rock and ice. She has huge wings that are made for powerful, extended flight, but don't work too well with sharp maneuvering and quick movements. She can fly short distances fine, but she can't go too fast without a lot of space.

She has a line of thick plated scales going down her stomach, starting at her neck and moving just a little ways down her tail. These scales are more insulators, able to protect her body from cold when lying on stone, ice, metal, etc. One her back are large plates with small spikes in the center. In the event of avalanches or rockslides, she can simply roll into a ball and these plates would protect her.

On her head are two large ram horns. On her face is a small beveled plate that directs wind away from her eyes during flight. Her face is slightly serpentine, but she doesn't have a forked tongue and does not need to taste the air, as she has nostrils. Her gem, a diamond with the slightest blue tint, is located on her back, near the base of her tail. It is just a little ways away from where the back plates end. It is large, but doesn't stick out much and is unpolished and imperfect. It is actually attached to her spine, making tail movements slightly more difficult. However, with the absence of powerful winds and snows in the caves, this is not a huge loss.

After the Trials in Hydra, Asimona now bears a scoprion's stinger on the end of her tail. It causes her to be forced to curl the tip in a little bit to hold it and she now carries her entire tail just a little higher. It's the same color as the rest of her body, made of thick, bluish-silver skin like leather save for the tip which is hard as scales.

Personality

Asimona is a creature of attachment. Loneliness is both terrifying and unwanted, from the moment of her birth to the day of her death. There is some instinct within her that screams against the empty air. She cannot be by herself, else she will grow depressed and, eventually, almost physically ill. It doesn’t have to be with one she loves, not does it need to be a conversation. She simply must be with others. It’s built into her core.

When first meeting another person, Asimona can come across as reserved, anxious, but proud and graceful. She is polite, a little formal, and considerate of others. She puts in little effort to create lasting connections and does her best to conceal what's underneath. However, she can still be playful and friendly. However, it's not until someone breaches that barrier that she keeps concealed does she truly shine. Her loyalty to those that have earned her trust is incredible. She will protect them with her life, hurt for them, hide her pain for them, and love them with all her being. She will open up, spilling her insecurities and showing the true compassion and empathy within. There are few that can reach this point, but as she grows older and older, she realizes that she craves for someone that she can open up to. She is always so lonely.

Frequently, Asimona will see things and be thrown from her own reality. She'll see flashes of things that haven't happened or things that could happen or things that will never happen. She doesn't know if these things are true or false and it gives her a division between what is real or not. So far, three recurring dragons have appeared to her - she calls them Father, Mother, and Sister and they each have their own role in her life. Father is fear, feeding on her insecurities, bringing terror with his presence and always doing his best to make Asimona afraid. Mother is rage, her voice constantly screaming in Asimona's ear, calling her useless, pathetic, a waste, and a mistake. She knows Asimona's weaknesses and uses them to her advantage. She adores watching her 'daughter' shiver with anger. Sister is trust, love, and peace. She is there to anchor Asimona to herself. She is there to comfort and shield her 'sister' from the rest of the 'family's' chaos; but by doing this she further scramble Asimona's ability to hang onto reality. Whether she will eventually learn to live properly with her hallucinations is yet to be seen, but right now she isn't doing so well.
