Appearance

They’re certainly hard to miss.

Even if they weren’t obnoxiously loud, their coloration certainly is. Bright leaf green speckled with tiny cyan dots. The area around their mouth is a more blue-hued green, while their underbelly and crests are more yellowish-green. And the crests! Growing from their tail, back, and head are large, attention-grabbing crests. The only thing only somewhat inconspicuous is their size- three feet nose to tail-tip, only 10 inches of which is body. The rest is a massive tail that quickly tapers to become almost whip-like.

For their first four or so cycles, they’ll be substantially less noticeable. They lack any of the flashy crests, and their coloration is a much less flashy brown and green. Their top side, including limbs, is a light brown complete with darker stripes. Their underside is a similar, if somewhat more dull color to what they will eventually grow into.

Their gemstone is a vibrant green bayldonite, just a shade’s difference from the surrounding green of their scales. It replaces part of the front of it’s skull, roughly from its nose to its eyes. It protrudes from the tip of their nose like a large rhino’s horn, and also from their top jaw like a green snaggletooth. The rest is a haphazard series of smaller spikes. This is far more of a nuisance as a child, leaving them top-heavy and clumsy. They may begin to use it as a weapon, although an extremely inadvisable one.

Personality

Despite their size, this little gremlin is a dragon. Wielding the destructive power of energy, they're sure to leave nothing but ruins in their wake- if they don’t destroy themself with their own power. For all of their dangerous potential, they have a rather high tendency to get caught in the crossfire of their own spells. They're highly perservent, however, and they’re sure to bounce right back- after all, they came back from all those other times.

Like a kid creating sand castles just to stomp on them, they create just to have something to destroy. Odd little structure of stick and pebbles and mud- and as their magic develops, ice and crystal. Usually, the most anyone will see of these is their ruined remains- unless you catch them while they're still building. Occasionally, however, out of a rare mercy or simply forgetfulness, one of these little sculptures may be left standing.

Even if they don’t know their stone is dangerous, they seem to have an innate sense of "live fast, die young" ingrained into them. They're here to have fun, and hopefully make a mark on this earth before they do. If their poisonous gemstone starts to affect them, this will become more frantic- a desperate attempt to be known even after they're long gone.
