Appearance

A silver-furred vision of speed and elegance. Muscles and tendons built for the height of speed, and bleached to the color of cold steel. This is Asterius, pale ghost and knight of the Spire.

3 feet at the shoulder, and nearly 5 feet long from nose to rump, she is on the larger end for a cheetah. But it's not the size that is what's odd - instead it is the way she has been washed free of color. Her fur is silver, not golden yellow, between the black spots. So is the skin underneath, and even her flesh and blood - cold silver and grey. Her eyes shine a brilliant white like a set of pearls, with no visible distinction between iris and pupil.

Their stone, a jagged spike of Skystone, as brilliant as Polaris's Spire, sits behind her right ear, pointing back like a horn made of shattered glass.

They are hatched fully grown, never seeing the world as a child. For she was made for a purpose.

Personality

She was spawned to protect. The caves need a defender, so she, like her elder sibling, will take up that mantle. Her cycles are not spent idly, always patrolling for the time to act.

Idle paws are the devil's workshop, after all.

Still, Asterius will find herself wrong. Different. Strange. She does not fit neatly next to other Gembound. They will do their duty until it kills them, but they are alone in this. Lives spin around her, but they are stagnant. Natural Order continues to spin, but they are a constant. Trapped in a maze of life...
