The young King is rather graceful-looking for someone that spends most of his time among bones or bathing in mud.

Adopting a somewhat uniquely wyvern-esque silhouette, Aure stands on two legs feathered down to three-clawed feet. They're rather saurian in shape, yet padded on each toe and nonvisible dew claw. Enormous wings — with a full span of nearly twelve feet — span out for walking balance and flight. The primaries and secondaries seem almost excessively long compared to their coverts, yet rounded and well-suited to gliding and supporting twice his weight: roughly fifty pounds at his healthiest. Two rather inflexible vestigial claws lie on either wing where alulae might usually be; they were once used for climbing and mobility, but have lost their use as Aure grew older.

His face is vaguely hyena-like, but distinctly avian, having a concave structure. The beak is mostly hidden except at the tip. Strikingly canine teeth hide in his jaw — it's just about as powerful as his life-giver's is, thanks to a well-muscled neck. Dark bristles frame his beak and bright eyes in a beard, as well as seemingly holding his gemstone — two small ridges — in place. The protrusions are barely an inch or two long, and hardly sharp. Overly long feathers coat Aure's cheeks and the back of his neck. They act as a hyena's mane does, puffing up and down in expression. Large, rounded ears reign as the prime tell of his emotional state.

While he's naturally leucistic and coated in creamy whites all over, the Bone King is almost-always painted in a rich, rusty hue save for his face. His back, legs, tail, wings, and the mottled "v" on his chest are a warm, deep chocolate in color. Spots of darker color dance across his triangular feathers. Carmine-and-gold eyes stand starkly against his white face, molten and gooey with his barely-restrained warmth.

REWRITING!!

Auré will, at the start, bear an uncanny resemblance to his late father. Many of his actions will be driven by a gentle curiosity to discover all that the caves have to offer him and to please others. His demeanor is gentle and friendly, rather selfless to all gembound as long as they are kind back to him. Any gembound who seems to want to talk gets an earful, as he chatters on and on until interrupted — at which point he listens intently and does his best to be as polite as possible.

This is to a fault, however, as he has a black-and-white view of the world. He lashes out at those who seem to be evil, impulsively deciding that they must be destroyed before they harm those he loves. Despite this ability to suddenly decide good and evil on a whim, he is quite indecisive and relies on others to convince him toward one position or another. The young wyvern is prone to manipulation and dependence on others.

Back to the spectrum of good things, he is an imaginative child, utilizing his creative fluency in magical advances or in more practical form. He loves to create arts and crafts and show them to people he holds in high regard, hoping to please them and impress them. Auré is all about living up to expectations he sets for himself early on. Yet, ironically, he does not crave the spotlight. He avoids being at the center of attention of those he doesn't know. He holds back in the presence of many.
