Past that, it gets weird. Beast has not two, or four, but six pairs of legs crammed into a tiny space. The first and last end in cloven boar hooves, but the middle pair has nothing but bare, calloused skin. These are clustered painfully close together, bone and muscle squished into a body meant for two. It's hard for him to walk, and most of the time he shuffles along like a strange zombie. Any attempts to run, or jump, or even turn around too quick are certain to be met with tripping.

Oh, but that's not all. A thickly muscled neck leads into a secretary bird-shaped skull dotted with small, brown eyes. There are no visible ears. Where you'd expect a mouth to be, there are only two tentacles, writhing orange things constantly covered in a wet film. They're always in motion: sliding sickeningly around his face or waving in the air. He can hold things in them, possibly small gembound-- though given that most things he touches end up covered in slime, it's unlikely anyone would volunteer.

But if his face's full of tentacles, where is his actual mouth? On his trunk, hidden by all those legs. It's a strange, black octopus beak, which leads directly into his stomach. It has a tendency to slobber due to its downward angle, so he usually keeps it closed for the sake of courtesy. Unfortunately, the positioning of his legs makes it difficult for him to eat, so he usually sticks to small plants.

His stone's azurite, embedded in his right middle leg. When he's first born it's a vibrant indigo striped with different shades, but it'll slowly dull to a blue-gray with time.

Mutations: Kraken tentacles replacing hind legs, crab claws replacing middle legs.

Beast is a mixture of Secretary Bird, Wild Boar, Groundhog, and Octopus. His voice is guttural and a little ptooey, and constantly muffled by his body. He weighs 23 pounds.

For all his tentacles and terrors, Beast does not act like a monster. In fact, he’s rather like a little kid with a heart of gold. He believes only in the best in people, and that it's impossible for anyone to be mean. Ever. And if they were mean, well, maybe they did it for a good reason. He loves meeting new people and chatting with them, sometimes freaking them out with his appearance. Being alone is a death sentence to him.

And, of course, too much of that friendliness turns into a vice. Beast is incredibly passive and submissive, easily bending to other's will. He often doesn't realize when he's in a bad situation, or even how to get out of one. Beast doesn't have a lot of self-confidence, despite any intimidating looks, and easily turns into a meek child when threatened.

Back to some more positive traits, Beast is very playful! He's always a kid at heart and loves playing games, magical or not. He doesn't seem bothered by his lack of physical ability and quickly picks himself up after any trips. Of course, not all fledgelings are interested with playing with someone who slobbers every time they speak with their stomach-mouth, and that does get him sad a little. But no fear, for he'll just find new friends to play with! Right?

Overall, a friendly, goofy kid with a few issues, likely to be shaped by whatever life throws at him.
