Appearance

Beyr is most definitely a large beast. Standing eighteen hands, or six feet at his shoulder, he is a prime specimen for his breed. He weighs over two tons, although a fair amount of this is muscle. He has a thick neck with the slightest of curves, leading to a finely built head. He is not thin or graceful, but bulky and powerful, with muscles that ripple under his dusty pelt.

As a colt, he will lack his massiveness. He will be born two feet at his shoulder, leaving him large for a baby Gembound. His fur will be less neat, instead fuzzy and bristly as though he were being affected by static. His build will be rather odd, with a short neck and a head that is disproportionately large. His fur will be several shades lighter than as an adult, more of a cream color than a brown. He will have a build not like a mule, all compact, with legs that are just a hair too long, like any foal's. His gem is a dark brown in color, on his side, sitting between two of his ribs, only the very tip visible. His mane is rather sparse, off-white rather than pure white, little tufts and clumps. His tail will be similar, little more than a clump of hairs. He lacks any of the feathering he will have as an adult.

As an adult, he will hardly be recognizable as the foal he was before. Gaining four feet in height at his shoulder, he will be massive. His fur will darken many shades, until it is a rich, milk chocolate in color. The off-white fur turns pure white, although it is often covered in dirt and dust. He grows feathering on his legs, covering his massive, trash-bin sized hooves. His main becomes thick and long, hanging passed the bottom of his neck, and his tail grows until it is only inches from the ground, often dirtied. His gem sticks out much less now, being only a few shades lighter than the rest of his fur. He has large ears, and a rather dopey face.

Personality

Gentle Giant:
Beyr is massive, and seemingly imposing. The muscles that flex under his fur with each movement only strengthen this assumption. However, he is not one for hurting others. He is careful not to over eat, wanting to allow plants to continue propagating, and is not selfish or greedy in the last. He is very careful not to harm anything - no insects or bugs, lesser Gembounds or plants.

Passive:
Beyr is definitely not a fighter. He doesn't see why anyone would want to, not understanding why someone would want to hurt someone else. It seems like a useless waste of energy, and causes bad feelings between two Gembounds that might have to interact at a later point.

Peacemaker:
Not wanting to fight, he tries to stop aggression between two Gembounds. He would make a fantastic mediator, determining who is in the wrong, and how to make things right and/or fair. He rather enjoys playing mediator, viewing it as his contribution to the caves.

Inventive:
Despite his rather dopey appearance, Beyr isn't as dumb as he seems. He doesn't understand a lot of things, like why Gembounds are able to use Magic, or why some Gembounds are mean to others. But he loves experimenting, and creating things. He will do anything to the plants he grows to see what happens, hoping to create something that can help his fellow Gembounds.

Listener: While not the brightest beast, or the most sociable, Beyr makes a good listener. He will just stand and let you rant, not trying to foist advice upon you unless you ask him to.
