Appearance

Boar is an immediately imposing figure. Her typical wildebeest frame emphasizes heavy, muscular shoulders that arch sharply into a low-slung back. In compliment, a thick, wedge-shaped neck angles into a large head. Close-cropped fur spreads over much of her figure in classic gunmental grey. Starting just behind her jaw, deep lashes of darker grey brindle stretch down across her neck and shoulders, finally fading when they reach her sides. Her rounded face is a pale blonde color that spikes up into her well-defined mane. Matching light hues highlight her tail and otherwise-grey beard. Atop her proud head sits a pair of wide horns, though they, too, seem slightly diluted in color. Her eyes are a pale, almost ghastly pink with horizontally elongated pupils.

Initially her gem doesn’t seem to be outwardly visible. It sits squarely beneath her broad head, nestled between her chin and her throat. Almost as a foil to her rough demeanor, it is a beautiful, polished alexandrite. Because of its position beneath her chin, the gem rarely catches the light. When it does, it shimmers with a multitude of colors, blending violet, teal, and turquoise among its gentle facets. It can alternate the strengths of these colors dependent upon the quality of surrounding lighting.

Overwhelmingly the largest facet of Boar’s personality is her dedication. She is loyal to a fault, prepared to live and die by those she considers her betters. She is the near literal personification of “you say jump and I ask how high.” But the system to which she ascribes loyalty isn’t arbitrary: it is based almost entirely upon physical prowess. Her betters are those who can best her in a fight, and her lessers are those who she overpowers. The line is drawn in the sand, and to Boar it is a completely black and white issue.

She is a certain flavor that takes getting used to. To strangers, she is often rude and brash, though her intent isn’t malicious. Boar simply has no filter. Independent and brash, she doesn’t understand the nuances of manipulation and social tact. She is as genuine as they come, even if that means she often puts her foot in her mouth. To her allies she is friendly, if a bit lacking in social graces. To enemies she is unforgiving of slights.

Everything about Boar is in the here and now. She makes no plans for the future and refuses to dwell on the past (excepting, of course, for her knack for holding grudges). She is an entirely physical being and revels in the sport of fighting. In the same way, if her loyalties shift she exists within them in their present state, no matter where they had laid before.
