Appearance

CANCER : THE ORIGINAL DARK MEAT

Standing at thirty-two inches, fully grown, it's hard to imagine that this cat has anything to be so openly sour about. He wears a solemn, almost sour frown most days, an expression made more evident by the dark shadows under his eyes.

The pitch-black fur coat that covers this Persian Leopard is a result of Melanism. Though his fur coat is covered in rounded spots, they are hard to see, if invisible, unless under a bright light, or his fur is wet. His chest is paler, three-point patch of fur contrasting against the rest of his shadowy pelt. It runs as far as his elbows before fading back to black.

A more noticeable feature of this grumpy cat is the Mookaite 'horns' atop his skull. They're three inches long at full growth, and curve inwards at the tips. Unseen, beneath the skin, the twin horns attach in a crescent shape which replaces the back plate of his skull. These horns are darker red at the base, but fade with bands of stone layers until yellow at the tip. His eyes are the same pale yellow.

When casting his magic, Cancer's eyes and horns light up bright candy red.

As of 7/2015; Cancer has four horizontal scars running from his cheekbone to his whiskers, just below his left eye. As he grows older, they'll become less noticeable, but as a youth and young adult, they're easy to see and deep red-pink.

As of 8/24/2015; Cancer has many puncture scars all over his front limbs, from a failed Gem Summon attempt. Some specks of red, yellow and orange stone (mookaite) can still be seen embedded in his skin around the scars.

As of 9/02/2015; Cancer's tail is missing nearly eight inches from its length. Once healed, the scarred tip is numb and hidden in the overlapping fur. Dealt by Raheerah via a bite. Also as of the Battle of Raheerah, Carce has a number of new and ragged scars across his face, sides and back.

As of 27/12/2015; The entire left side of Cancer's face is mangled, the left eye missing entirely with no lid left to hide the empty socket. When using his magic, Carcino's eye socket glows brighter than his horns and good eye, unfiltered light from the base of his stone revealed with no skin or organs in the way anymore. Self-inflicted after losing Bevy, via a critically failed Bloodhold attempt.

Cancer isn't known for being patient, or even particularly sympathetic. He's better known for putting soul-crushingly realistic observations in the way of hare-brained schemes, or for tossing sarcasm at every person who's opinion doesn't quite match his own- such a thing is an unfortunate defense mechanism to a cat who, more definitely, does not play well with others.
