Appearance

Calypso is very... fluffy.

She isn't terribly fluffy when she is a baby. In fact, one wouldn't be blamed for thinking she would grew up to be short-haired. Her fur is a bit frizzy, sure, but other than that there really is no hint. And there is no hint as to how big she'll get. Sure, she is mostly leg, but she is still a rather small kitten. Her ears are a bit too large for her head, and if one were to focus on her paws, they'd realize they are much too big for such a small kitten. Her tail, too, is far too long for her, able to be pulled up to her nose if laid flat on her back.

For the most part, she is white in color. Well, that would be a bit of a lie. It would be better to say that white is her base color, a default where there is no other. Her markings, as a kitten at least, are hard to make sense of. Orange-brown and black mix with seemingly no pattern, creating a saddle of sorts on her back. There is a black 'hood' on her head, reaching down to her eyes. There is a small brown spot on the right side of her muzzle, as though she tried to drink chocolate milk. Her underside is entirely white, the opposite of her tail. Her tail makes no sense, being an odd mix of black, white, grey, and orange-brown.

Her gem can be found on her stomach. It juts out some, very uneven, and glistens many colors.

Calypso grows up into a rather massive cat. She measures two feet from the tip of her nose to the base of her tail, and her tail adds another foot to her length, leaving her at three feet. From paw to shoulder she stands one foot, making her rather large for a cat. She grows into her paws, which no longer seem quite so massive on her, and they have long fur peeking out from between her toes, making it easy for her to keep on top of snow.

Her fur grows very long, although not long enough to mat terribly. There is a rather large main on the back of her neck, and her markings clean up. Her tail becomes very bushy, looking rather dusty.

The markings on her back are largely black, with some orange-brown mixed in. The base of her tail is orange-brown, as though it is glue used to stick her tail on. Her head has a black hood, seperated from the markings on her back by a white wrap-around. Her ears are orange-brown, with white lines crawling down from the tip of them and through her hood. She has a widow's peak, surrounded by orange-brown, with white through it. Her eyes are wide and bright, a green-gold in color. There is a large ruff of fur on the back of her neck. Her gem can only be seen if one parts the fluffy fur of her belly.

Personality

Calypso definitely means well.

However, she is also a cat.

As a kitten, she will have All The Energy. Anything that moves will be a potential play thing, even another Gembound's tail. She could spend hours chasing a bug, or trying to catch a mote of dust. Anything shiny gets her attention, and it will become Hers, no matter what. Whether that means she has to hassle you into giving it to her, or sneaking in to take it while your back is turned. However, she is about as subtle as a raging moose, and so these often don't end terribly well.

Once she grows up, she seems to have used up all of her energy. She enjoys napping, basking in the sun, although she doesn't mind the cold as much. Her long fur keeps her warm, and the fur on her paws keeps her light. Callie becomes much more subtle, having mastered the art of moving quietly. She learns how to sweet talk, a silver tongue allowing her to talk people into giving her things. However, if this doesn't work, she isn't above sneaking in and stealing it.

And stealing has become something she is good at. She has learned to step softly, to plan ahead before acting. Anything around her will be used to her advantage, even if it doens't look like it could be.
