Appearance

Crescendo's base color is white, but from the middle of where her beak ends, light yellow-brown feathers form a sort of triangle without a point, arcing over her eyes and spreading over her back and wings. The underside of her neck, her underbelly, her rump, and her tail feathers are all white. Her legs and feet are covered by long, silky white feathers, kind of like socks. Her beak is pink, and somewhere between the realms of sharp and blunt - like a pencil that no one would consider sharp, but still capable of writing fairly neatly. There is some pink surrounding her eye, but the eye itself is dark. Her stone is a red diamond, taking the place of her heart.

When Crescendo is newly emerged from her chrysalis, she will be somewhat fluffy. Her set of adult feathers will be far from finished growing in, but it has made some progress, especially near her wings. The feathery "socks" on her legs will have already finished growing. She will be chubbier than the adult pigeon, and her neck especially will have lots of downy, fluffy feathers. As a result, the border between brown and white there will be somewhat blurry.

Personality

Normally, Crescendo is agreeable enough. She doesn't bully anyone, she generally isn't more aggressive than an occasional "grumpy" level unless provoked, and she's actually quite cuddly with Gembounds that she likes. Like most young, freshly emerged Gembounds, she's curious, eager for knowledge, and energetic. She will want to investigate new things and learn things from older Gembounds. To her, knowledge is a wonderful thing, to be shared and cherished. How could anyone be content with not knowing the history of their own society? The history of their home? How their lives came to be? There is so much to be learned - history, how the world works, how magic works, how the climates of the caves can vary so drastically, and so much more! When she gets excited about something, her eyes light up and she'll often ask lots of questions, which may seem overwhelming, but she really doesn't mean any harm. She is a bright soul, fun loving and friendly. Laughing with her friends and exploring and discovering new things would be a dream world for her.

But when she's provoked, either by an insult or a threat to the safety of herself or someone she cares about, she can be quite a fierce little pigeon. Starting with a few relatively light shoves, if whoever provoked her doesn't back down, she'll do everything in her power to MAKE it. When she's little, this will be relatively harmless, but if she retains this trait as she grows up she might be powerful enough to cause serious and/or permanent damage.
